lol people on here are so mean. Are you just mad, because someone you don't like or "get" has a million followers? Neither at all. I just think the idea is funny.

He's a wrestler not an actor. The Rock couldn't make that Kane/Eve segment watchable. A s***ty script isn't Ryders fault The Rock definitely would made the angle work. And the modern wrestler has to be a wrestler, an actor, and an entertainer. My favorite wrestler, Benjamin, can't cut a good promo and he suffered as a result. Exactly. You can be the best wrestler on the roster but if you can't act, your creative options are going to be limited.

Ryder's big draw was supposed to be his charisma, but he's not good at delivering lines. That's not something you can blame on the angle either, he was awful when he was brought out with Punk and Bryan after winning the title too. He's just not there on the mic yet, and given that he doesn't have the size or the technical wizardy, he doesn't have anything to cover up that huge lack in his ability. Like it or not, wrestlers do have to be actors to at least some extent. The angle didn't help him, but he didn't do himself any favors. That's just how it goes when you can't do more than work in catchphrases on an online show.

I know. You might hate Ryder for being a "whiny little bitch" or "not being good enough to back up his hype", but he accomplished the main thing that a wrestler is supposed to do, and that's get over. Being over on twitter is not the same as being over with crowds.

Yeah, all good wrestlers are also good actors. Even technical whizes like Bret Hart and Benoit got that- they weren't hams like Hogan, Cena or Rock, but they knew how to draw you into stories and make them memorable.
That said, I think Ryder has enough talent to improve his standing, but his fall from grace wasn't entirely Creative's fault. I honestly think he wouldn't have been booked to look so dumb after TLC 2011 had he stepped his game up a little.
He had built up a LOT of hype around himself when ZTLS took off, and I suspect a lot of WWE officials thought to themselves, "Huh, this is just the same Ryder as before". They might have been expecting a future main event talent in proportion to all of his buzz, and they got an ok/servicable guy.

I'm a Ryder fan, but here's the thing: he's way more in control of his own destiny than he thinks. He needs to hone his craft, bust his butt, and after that burst into somebody's office and demand some TV time. I don't think midcarders in the 'E are in a position to demand anything, and that rather than being respected for their initiative they would end up on Vince's or HHH's s***list and get jobbed out. The bullshit backstage politics in WWE are all about knowing your place in the pecking order and doing what you're told, after all.

Ryder needs to build a stable to combat the Three Man Band.
William Regal, Ted DiBiase Jr and Ryder. Call themselves Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Eh, the stories that come out seem to indicate that fortune favors the bold, so to speak. It doesn't always work, of course, but it seems like mot people who make it haven't just waited around for their turn, but done things to get noticed. The story was that Shawn Michaels got his big push by basically cutting in line and walking into Vince's office while everyone else was waiting for their turn.

They're talking about it on their facebook page, so they are acknowledging it. They also published an article on WWE.COM about it. I think with ZTLIS ending and reaching 1 million followers during that raw, this just might be some very good timing for him. He's a wrestler not an actor. The Rock couldn't make that Kane/Eve segment watchable. A s***ty script isn't Ryders fault The Rock definitely would made the angle work. Counterpoint: Rock couldn't make Doom work and that was better than the Kane stuff.

Has anyone made the joke "I just hit 1 million followers and boy is my arm tired"? Because if they have I'm their million and first follower!
