At this point, let's just hope this doesn't escalate into Te'o dressed in drag as "Lennay" and flying to Albania only to be thrown in prison.

I have a feeling that this is one of those things that I don't think we'll ever really know exactly what happened.

And a new fake Twitter account popped up:
L K @lennaykay My statement: This is incredibly embarrassing to talk about, but I have been told by Alabama's offense that Manti Te'o is not real.

@jacob_UK TMZ says Notre Dame has a gag order on anyone who speaks to media about Manti Te'o....or be fired I wouldn't be surprised if ND and T'eo concocted this moronic story in an attempt to win T'eo the Heisman with the sympathy vote.

Here's a thought that keeps bothering me:
How did NO ONE at Stanford say anything? If she "died" in September and this was a big story...like, no one? The school newspaper? The administration? No one checked? I find that hard to believe. You would think Stanford would have made some kind of statement and then had to check. That part is really weird.

Considering this whole thing would break ND's student athletes policy I don't think the Athletic Department let alone the actual university would do this. To me this sounds like a making by T'eo and his family and the only reason they told Swarbrick is because they knew they were going to get caught by the media.

Since when do NCAA programs abide by rules? I firmly believe that if the NCAA bothered to legitimately investigate every university every program in the FBS would be on probation. That said I'm not sold on that theory, it just won't surprise me if it comes out that is how it went down.

Maybe some sort of legal issues or they just assumed this person lied about being from there and ignored it not wanting to cause the believed family pain? Obviously I don't know, just throwing a theory out there.

@adamzagoria From @sipetethamel transcript with Teo: "She actually came to one of the games. She saw me at one of the games."
@adamzagoria More from @sipetethamel : "She saw me at the USC game of my sophomore year. We were still just friends, we were acquaintances."

Based on all those contradictions, I'm forced to return to my earlier theory that she is, in fact, a ghost.

I'm confused...was the rape ever revealed to have actually happened? I keep seeing the words "accused" and "alleged".

The incident happened but without a trial reporters cannot use the definitive terms without risking lawsuits and other legal issues. They cannot say sexual assault or rape without those because the defense in the case is it was consensual.
