It's losing steam now, but it'll pick right back up the closer we get to the actual draft. That's still a ways away, but I imagine it'll be thrust right back into focus then.

I don't think it will.
There might be a lil coverage of it on draft shows, ut even that will be minor. Everyone else will have moved on months ago

Te'o and Tuiasosopo are actually dating and in the interest of Te'o's draft stock due to the story getting out, Tuiasosopo is acting like he was some sort of mastermind to a catfishing scheme that lasted a long ass time... [/obvious swerve]

He was a gay man in love with the idea that he should appear to be in love with a girl, but she didn't want to be hounded. She didn't want to be "The star's girl" especially with no benefits. She wanted to be his in social circles, but not the world's circle. So when someone realized he was in the position to profess love...he lied....when they fought, he lied again...when they worked things out...the trouble began. And it grew...and grew...and now, he has to keep it up while struggling to keep the girl he fake loves in the shadows in order for her to remain in his friendzone. But, when things come crashing down, can he save not only his false love, but his entire future? Taylor Lautner is Manti T'eo in Secret within a Secret within a Secret. Not as intriguing as the other idea. It's the Asylum version.

Does it have Richard Grieco walking? Indeed. He plays the reporter who constantly follows Te'o around.

Here's a weird possibility, what if that kid is telling a lie and this whole thing is a prank?

www.tmz.com/2013/01/31/ronaiah-tuiasosopo-recovering-gay-homosexual-dr-phil-interview/At this point, I'm convinced that these two are/were in a relationship, and they came up with this girl to cover it up just in case it got out. This guy is gay, Manti's answer to whether or not he was gay was very weird - that's the only feasible conclusion, IMO. If they are, I really wish they'd just fess up to it. It's 2013, hardly anybody is going to care (and I get that there's never been an openly gay NFL player, and the atmosphere is probably very intimidating), and it's the only way that everybody comes out of this looking good and not like brain-dead idiots.

I'm sure there are dozens of closeted homosexuals in the NFL right now, and every time one of them mulls the idea of coming out, you get to hear somebody like 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver run his mouth about not accepting a gay teammate. And you know what? Culliver's not alone. I'd bet that at least 75 percent of current NFL players share his viewpoints on the possibility of having a homosexual teammate. The NFL locker room is not a tolerant or accepting place and if a player came out, they'd be ostracized.

How can Dr Phil NOT ask him to do his woman voice he supposedly did for hours at a time?

And it's a shame, because the majority of people outside of the NFL wouldn't even care at all. And, if he did orchestrate this to cover up his sexuality, than I can't help but feel bad for him. I get that he went to a religious school and comes from a religious upbringing (I think), but it's just a shame that some people have to do that.

Why was Manti's response weird? He was asked a very personal question on national TV a question that often tends to define people, and the fact that he got defensive is now a sign that he was ling? Sorry, I jut hate that line of thinking. When people get asked questions like that, being a bit overdefensive is just a natural response. His response wasn't weird, it's how you'd expect a straight person to respond as well. How can Dr Phil NOT ask him to do his woman voice he supposedly did for hours at a time? The report on it I heard (with this being a 2-part interview) said he did, and the guy finally did it near the end, which left Dr. Phil unconvinced. But I'm not really going to watch it because I'm not going to support Dr. Phil.

His response wasn't weird, it's how you'd expect a straight person to respond as well. I don't think he was defensive in the slightest, his answer, to me, seemed as if he was saying, not angry or anything, mind you. "What, me gay? C'mon, man. Pssh, nooooooo. Me and gay, just, pssh, no." Everybody's different and I get that, but a simple no would've sufficed when compared to what he said. I don't think he got defensive like, "ARE YOU CALLING ME GAY OR SOMETHIN'? YOU BETTER WATCH WHAT YOU SAY! I'M THE STRAIGHTEST STRAIGHT THING IN THIS UNIVERSE! I LOVE WOMEN! WOMEN ALL DAY EVERY DAY! YOU HEAR ME?!"[/quote]

It was totally a defensive response. Just because he's not screaming that he wants to see boobs doesn't change that. What he said was exactly how I'd expect a person to respond when a stranger asks a highly personal question of them on national TV.
And a simple "no" just isn't a realistic response to a prodding question, coming from someone who used to ask really prodding questions for a living. A simple typically means someone rehearsed, or at least makes a career of talking. You don't have to answer a simple no to be telling the truth.

For me, his response wasn't defensive - but I personally take over-defensive answers as a sign of being guilty, as well. I expect that to differ from person to person, that's just how I feel about it.
I don't know, it's just a gut feeling. God knows I've been wrong about those before, and at the end of the day this is hardly an issue that's going to matter once he starts playing.
