There were so many favorites during this period.
If there is anything I missed, feel free to mention it.
So what was your favorite period?
By far, mine is the July-August 2005 mini heel turn.
Shawn just brought it.
Yours?

Definitely have to go with the feud with Hogan. For the most part, Michaels tended to kind of fall in a role where I didn't mind having him around but never looked forward to him (outside of some PPV matches), but he was gold during that time.
Still haven't seen that match, though.

I picked HBK's first feud with Taker, just for all the epicness Shawn did in mocking Taker.
The "white" entrance and Genesis promo blew me away

I voted for King of the World Feud, January of 2003 to April of 2003... However, I enjoyed everything from His comeback match in August of 2002 to his match with Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 21 in March? of 2005. If a Shawn Michaels match was on the dvd back in the day, it was a must buy dvd for me.

What about the feud with JBL? Have to agree. good small pre WM feud. I voted him vs Y2J. That was crazy and simply great, feud of the year.

I actually enjoyed his feud with SRS Jericho.
When most people turn heel, they do it because of petty emotions, while Jericho did have a point when it came to him faking an injury against Batista (by the way, was Batista a heel or a tweener in mid-2008?). Regardless, Michaels still defended himself with all he could.
A close second came to the set-up for the first Undertaker WrestleMania match. Free from JBL, he decided to have a friendly against him to set up the RAW opponent for Undertaker... then had to deal with Kozlov, and once he finally got the chance, the man decided to unleash heaven with that awesome promo on SmackDown.

His brief heel turn in the feud with Hogan. If I recall, he psyched-out the Montreal or Canadian crowd into thinking Bret was going to be there. I wish we could have had this Michaels more during his second run. He just didn't want to be a heel any more and Hogan insisted on it.

Feud with Ric Flair (Feb - Apr 08) (1 vote, 4.1%) Feud with Batista (Apr - May 08) (0 votes, 0%) 2nd Feud with SRS Jericho (Jun - Oct 08)
I still love how this period is all inter-locking storylines. It's still one of the most well booked things WWE has ever booked.
(picked v.s Angle, as I love their matches)

The comeback match remains one of my favourites of all time, it was even better at the time as we didn't know how HBK would be or how long he'd be around for. Hell the hype video alone was awesome.

Can't I just say his entire run? The only year I didn't really enjoy him was 2006.

The Hogan feud was unprofessional but hilarious.

The Hogan feud was unprofessional but hilarious. The feud wasn't unprofessional, just the match itself and even then this is one instance when I can forgive Shawn for being unprofessional because the match was hilarious.

Can I just vote for all of the WM24 to WM25 2008-09 "season" as a whole? As said, put it between the Ric Flair match, to the Batista, to the SRS Jericho, then the JBL feud unmentioned, pinnacling with the Undertaker feud- and, screw it being HBK's best period in his 2nd run, did ANYONE have a better all-round [performance/angles] year than Shawn Michaels did at that point?

2005 against Hogan. It was the only time during his second run where he really felt like Shawn Michaels.

All of his feuds with Triple H/Evolution over his first three years (ish) back were great, as was the feud with Super SRS Jericho.
