Let us share FANmily, about the times our eating experience sucked. This includes fast food. For me it's ihop, Worst service I have ever experience, and I had a group of 8, we waited 20 minutes to get served, took them an hour to get our food, most of the group was finished by the time I got my plate. Ol girl was acting like I was treating her like a slave just for asking for ketchup. That's an easy ass tip if you just do your job. So I just wrote "Go to Church" on the tip line. Never ate at ihop again.

Once grabbed a seat at PF Chang's and waited for 15 minutes with no service. No waiter came by. Nobody even came over to let us order drinks!
I know that was kind of anomaly though, so it didn't stop me from going. I never eat at places with bad rep.

Funnily enough at the place I used to work.
The food was great (I worked as a chef), it was the service. Absolutely unbearable. The staff just didn't seem to get the idea that my table wanted to be left alone to eat. Made a point of bypassing tipping the waitresses and just went directly in to the kitchen and gave the chefs the tip. Also said to one of the waitresses how I felt it was unprofessional for her to chew while she was taking the order, she took the huff.....silly girl.

Now, must of the time when I eat out, it's good service without complaint. But when it's an experience worth complaining about, it seems to be at Friendly's. For those who don't know, Friendly's is a chain big in New England, with food that's famous for being mediocre and ice cream that's famous for being awesome. They're also sort of falling apart as a franchise, they've had to close a bunch of locations, etc.
Anyway, one especially bad experience came when I wanted to order a special, limited time fried chicken meal. Waitress said "oh good timing, it's the last day that it's available." Well, 5 minutes later she cames back and says they're totally sold out of the fried chicken. I had to order something else, and was caught off guard, so I needed a few minutes to decide (eventually decided on the bbq chicken). Well, it seems my order came at the wrong time, when the cooking staff was changing shifts in a "changing of the guard" type thing, and apparently some orders get lost in the shuffle, like mine. Although, for the two people I was dining with, their orders came in just in time, and came out without delay. However, my order came to the table a good 20 minutes after theirs. Now, luckily it was a hot meal and actually tasted really good, or there would've been some complaining. She did give us all free dessert (I took advantage by ordering a 5 scoop sundae) and all the food was fine so we tipped her the usual amount (it wasn't really her fault anyway). Also, we didn't swear not to go there again.

I'd have to say ihop too. Not only did it take forever to get seated and for the food to come out, but the middle aged woman waiting on us gave my husband like four drink refills while I sat there with an empty glass the whole time. It was really annoying. Other than that one time I haven't had any problems there, although t usually takes a while to get seated.

I ordered BBQ Ribs at a joint in Dexter, MO and the sauce was tangy. Tangy, like fermented. Fermented, like I probably could have lit the stuff on fire.
I told the waitress and she brought her boss out to tell me that they put whiskey in the sauce, of course it's got an alcohol tang!
I told him to try a rib, he took one bite and about gagged. He apologized and brought out new ribs with non-fermented sauce on them and. Not only that, but it was a Double Rack Platter, more ribs that any human should ever consume. Pretty awesome right? He even said "I hope this gift makes up for our mixup!"
The ribs were amazing! Some of the best ever! Couldn't have been happier!
Then the waitress drops off a bill not only for the food that was rotten, but I got billed for 40$+ for the massive rib platter that we never ordered and was given to us.
I threw down 10$ for the drinks and fried okra and walked out.

I ordered tea and they brought me coffee. Then the manager (a creepy man with questionable hygiene) sat down next to me, introduced himself, put his arm around me, and confessed to a violent murder. Soon after, I applied and got a job there.

One time my family was at a fairly fancy restaurant, ok ok it was Red Lobster, and a waiter took our order. We waited for about an hour for our food or waiter to show up. Fed up we asked another passing waiter what was going on, and we discovered that apparently our waiter just up and quit and walked out without telling anyone.

I was with a friend and her friend at a Shoney's. The food was fine, but our argumentative waiter and my friend's girlfriend constantly scrapping verbally didn't add to the experience. Then the girlfriend overheard the waiter muttering about how she was glad we had left, and it damn near got physical at that point.

one time at mcdonalds i ordered the mchicken and didn't get any chicken on it. got the tomato, lettuce and everything else on it though.
i'm pretty lucky as far as good service at restaurants go, the worst i can think of was a waitress apologizing for not bringing our drinks fast enough because she "*had* to go on a smoke break".

I went to a restaurant in my movie theater, just me and a friend only two in the whole place we get seated no problem. Takes 15 minutes for the waitress to come to us because we saw her flirting with the bartender, our food comes out 20 minutes later cold and not what we ordered. We decided not to give a tip so we leave after paying the bill she than comes out of the restaurant to the game and starts yelling at us.

Applebee's seems to be the one I have the most problems with.
I went to one and ordered my lunch. The appetizer was good but didn't quite agree with me, so I was stuck in the restroom for a bit. When I came out my table had been cleared and new people were sitting there. I should have just left.
Another one I stopped for a late dinner, I order a steak "rare". It comes out "Frozen". I told the waiter "E for effort, but I need it cooked a little longer than that....."
Worst thing I had was getting a burger at Fuddrucker's, ordering rare, getting my burger "medium", then told that I cannot order a burger rare or medium rare. This one was in Ohio and I told them that branches in TX and FL had no problem cooking it that way, and got into a huge argument with the cashier and the manager.
I get my food (still overcooked) and a card for a free meal. Never went back for it. That Fuddrucker's is now closed.
