Did they do something to get on Vince's bad side or what? You would think with all of the legends who have showed up over the past few years you would at least see Tito pop up every so often.
What about Martel? I always thought he was a great worker and character, but he's not even in the WWE Hall of Fame.
What's the deal?

Didn't Tito turn up on Raw a couple of years ago to ring announce Del Rio?

Tito did announce Del Rio at Old School Raw and is in the Hall of Fame. Rick Martel did show up at a Night of Champions PPV with Tony Garea....
Martel (in my opinion) will be in the HOF in the future, but he wasn't a big star compared to others, or even Santana. Even with his AWA title run and Model gimmick, Tito seems to be better remembered.

Individually, there are legends. As a tag team? They deserve a mention when talking about the best WWF teams of the late 1980s.

Regarding the HOF, Rick Martel reminds me of Jim Rice - former Red Sox player, had a great career but never won a World Series and wasn't on a excellent Sox team (he was a big reason they always did as well as they did though), and a longtime HOF candidate who made it in on his final ballot mainly because all the people voting realized, regardless of whether he led the Sox to championships, he really should be in because of the quality player he was.
Martel should be in the HOF, and I think will be......but it'll be a while, for a variety of reasons.

Martel showed up at Night of Champions in like 2006 or 2007 to fight Deuce and Domino, right?

Wow, he's aged pretty rapidly since his brief run in WCW in 1999. On topic: what was the kayfabe reason Strike Force broke up again? And was there ever a blow-off match? I don't remember the late 80s except for a few specific events...

well they were only a team for 7 months So was the Four Horsemen incarnation they inducted last year. It's just WWE being picky/lazy. Or Martel's lips aren't long enough to reach Vince's ass.

I don't remember the late 80s except for a few specific events... When Martel first returned from his injury he got at Wrestlemania IV, Tito was eager to re-form the team, though Martel thought they had a nice run, but it was time to move on to singles. Tito eventually won him over, and they were signed for a match against the Brainbusters at Wrestlemania V. During that match, Tito accidentally hit Martel with the flying forearm, and Martel walked out on him.

If I remember correctly, there was a miscommunication between Santana and Martel during a match with Anderson and Blanchard, and Martel walked out on Santana while Santana ate a spike piledriver.

That was one of Jim Johnston's first pieces for the WWF, along with "Piledriver", "Stand Back", and the Ultimate Warrior's theme.
