How much can someone like MVP make wrestling in Japan vs taking Indie gigs in the US? Also, any idea how much Tensai/Giant Bernard/Albert made in Japana? What's the most any wrestler has made there?

Not WWE money by any means, but usually more comfortable than they'd make in the big indies. Of course, established guys like MVP would be able to name their price on the indies, but I think New Japan would offer him comfortably more for a certain amount of dates that he does for them.

Depends on how many dates they can get in the USA.
Someone like Charlie Haas who works ROH and other indies could probably make more in the USA than in Japan but for a guy like Lance Hoyt who may only get a few US dates a month the money is better in Japan.
I think the better deal is in Japan though they pay the transport, meals and pay you on top. Not to mention if you're working one of the bigger Japanese Independents you're going to make more money off merch than working in front of 100 USA Fans.

Also, in regards to working in Japan, most gaijin talent have commented on how it's easier on their bodies to work overall. Typically they have to work a harder hitting style, yes, but most Japanese talent apparently tend to be careful and due to the touring nature of it, they're allowed time to heal up. If they choose to, anyways.
Obviously there's been cases where certain talent have ignored those aches and pains, and kept going regardless of when they should've let their bodies rest.
