Dolph Ziggler is over with the fans as a heel, and has been performing amazingly on the main event level for quite some time now. He has held Heavyweight gold, albeit briefly, but has yet proved that he can be a great champion. He plays off his current gimmick of being a "show-off" perfectly, but he can't seem to win the big one in a way that would support his persona. What better way to support his gimmick than by doing something that has yet to be done?
Let's say Ziggler wins the Rumble and goes onto Wrestlemania while still holding the Money in the Bank title shot. What if Ziggler was to not only challenge and win the Heavyweight title, let's say from Del Rio, but also go onto cash in the MitB and defeat the current WWE champion? Now holding both titles has been done before, however, the way in which Ziggler would win them would solidify his "show-off" persona, especially on the "grandest stage of them all," and could also cement him as WWE's top heel.
Would this be something you would want to see? Would this change his reaction with the fans, meaning would this impress the fans enough to the point he'd be viewed as a face?
I feel if any wrestler on the roster could pull this off and make it work, it has to be Ziggler, but if you disagree then who do you think could/should get the opportunity?

I feel that we need a thread that goes into detail on how MITB cash-ins work. And that thread would need to be stickied.

I'm really starting to wonder why so many have such a hard time grasping the fact that the Smackdown MITB is for the World Heavyweight Championship and not the WWE Championship.

I think he should have won the Rumble after a long run instead of MITB in order to solidify the gimmick.

Pardon my ignorance about the MitB, but let's say things are reversed "cash in, wins Heavyweight, then goes onto win WWE championship via Rumble win." Happy guys? Now onto discussion of thread.

I like Dolph. But is he really 'own a Wrestlemania' good? That would be one hell of a thing to hand someone. Winning the two big titles in one night at Wrestlemania, however he achieves it, is one hell of a feat. It would arguably be the biggest achievement, in a Kayfabe sense, that has ever been.
That said, I do like the idea. Just not sure Dolph is the man I'd give that to.

I think it would be too much of a push for Ziggler right now. It would be one thing if they were building him up as the next big thing in the WWE, but they've been treating him a barely more than a jobber at the moment.

I love Ziggler but I wouldn't want to see him win both belts at Mania, that's pretty overkill. I can't think of anyone I would want to see do that right now.

What if Dolph cashed in pre-Mania, won, and then challenged for the WWE title? Would you consider that enough momentum; having won MitB, the Rumble, and the Heavyweight title in less than a year's time?

It's the kind of thing that would have fit Brock Lesnar for example. But on the current roster it's hard to think of someone who I think would deserve a push like that. Obviously it depends how they do it. If they book it to make the guy look dominant then it needs to be someone really special and someone who is definitively the new face of the WWE. Someone who has it all. Not sure there is anyone around like that right now. But I guess they could book it to be done sneakily. Then you could have someone like CM Punk or maybe Dean Ambrose in a couple of years. Someone who can back it up by being an awesome enough heel.

That'd be a good way to unify the titles, but not really a "show off" kind of move.
To me a show off does things that are unnecessary or even kind of preposterous just to prove how good they are.
Winning two Top Titles wouldn't really be a "show off" move, like say, stealing John Cena's GF was.
I think, after a face turn someone like Cesaro or Barrett would be ideal for something like, but a year or so later.
Barrett's a "prize fighter" type dude so winning the ultimate prize would make sense, but that would take another year or so to build him up for that to even work.

Would a Face be a better choice in this scenario over a Heel?
