Well, there was a topic about confidence, not to mention many topics about personal problems. Eventually, it made me think about the concept of changing oneself. How hard is it? I'd say that it's pretty damn hard. For one, it can be unfamiliar territory, especially for a person who's been stuck in a rut for quite a while.
Like... while there are times a person can be unsatisfied with life, and at the same time can't help but stay that way because they too familiar with their own circumstances that they feel like they are stuck. Of course, the circumstances of the person has to be taken into account. It's hard to change when there would be sacrifices to be made in the long run. You also have to take into account the chances of failure. In the end, you can do your very best in life and still encounter failure, and sometimes they are some pretty big ones. And then, in the very end you die.
Even so, change is inevitable. We all grow old, and then we die. That's how life is. If a person wants to be better than they were before, then they have to take those changes and adapt to them. Again, there would be sacrifices. Change is hard, but it's rarely ever impossible.
I'm not really sure what I'm aiming for here. Still, it's one of those things where I hope that this helped in some way, when it comes to perspective.

You have to keep changing yourself. Whether that means hitting the gym, learning something new, trying a new hobby, whatever. If you aren't trying to change and improve then what's the point?

Supposedly I could change my own diaper.
My 8th grade teacher was impressed.

I often just try to find someone whos personality I really like, and then attempt to act like them, or do what they would do, and it generally allows me to change and feel okay about myself.
Another thing I've been trying a lot more lately, with some success, is to do the opposite. There is a classic Seinfeld episode where George does the opposite and it works wonders for him. So I've been trying that when it comes to how I act at work, and at home.

That's deep, man.

I think if you like who you are, what you believe in, then minimal changes are good. Like new hobbies and the sort. If you do these large changes often, then what's your identity? Who are you?
