I keep reading about others who were close to the Kliq but not actual members and I've always wondered to whom this refers. The most obvious would be Justin Credible I guess but who else would you guess at?
I thought Curt Hennig would be a good guess.

Sid, he's tight with Scott Hall and is one of the few guys in that time period to come in and feud with Kliq members and not be buried.

Justin Credible is a well-known one, Sid was I believe friends with HBK, and I've heard Henry Godwinn was a friend of HHH.

I dunno about Hennig, he and Bret were good friends (along with Rick Rude) and they were the old school type who seemed to dislike the way the Kliq did (or didn't do) business.
Honestly, looking at the WWF roster in late 95, it's much easier to find guys who didn't get along with the Kliq (Yoko, Bam Bam, Skip, Douglas, Jarrett, Fatu, Owen, Bulldog, etc) than they did.

Isn't HBK good friends with Michael Cole? I want to believe he was one. I want to believe.

Henning was good friends with Hall and HBK but he wasn't a fringe Kliq member.
I guess you can kind of put Henry Godwinn in there as Trips got him hired into Deep South Wrestling, and also got his son a developmental deal.
Sid was friends with pretty much all of them (Nash got him hired in WWF in 95 and WCW in 99)

Not so sure about Henry Godwinn, as The Godwinns were part of the Bone Street Krew backstage, along with The Undertaker, Paul Bearer, and Yokozuna. They all got BSK tattoos and I'm not sure how much they buddied with The Kliq. Honestly, looking at the WWF roster in late 95, it's much easier to find guys who didn't get along with the Kliq (Yoko, Bam Bam, Skip, Douglas, Jarrett, Fatu, Owen, Bulldog, etc) than they did. I don't believe Owen had any heat with the Kliq. Sean Waltman actually speaks very highly of him in various shoot interviews. I haven't heard any specific stories about Jarrett or Fatu either. You can definitely add Pierre, Tatanka and Vader to that list though. The only valid answer to the OP is PJ Walker. He wasn't a member, but was definitely taken under their wing and I guess can be considered a "fringe member". Nobody else, although they did approach Bret Hart about joining when they originally conceived the idea to form a clique. Supposedly Lex Luger always wanted to be down with them as well, but they constantly ribbed him and would mess with him by making him feel like he was part of the crew. Poor guy.

I included Owen and Bulldog because of the Bret connection. I don't get the impression Owen 'had heat' with them, but the picture Bret paints in his book is one where his group of family and friends all thought The Kliq were in it for themselves.
And I thought Fatu was in the BSK?

Wasnt Bulldog out with Shawn and Kid the night that the beatdown happened? Dont think there was any heat with the kliq involving him (at least not yet).

I'm not even sure if one would consider Justin Credible a fringe member, I always figured that he wanted to hang with them but they just punked him into carrying their bags and so forth.

Well it wasn't very nice of Shawn and Hunter to insist that Bulldog lose the European Title in England with his sister dying of cancer in the crowd just so Shawn could have a belt he never defended to carry around. I think people have different definitions of 'heat'. Like with Bulldog and Owen, I don't expect them to have refused to have anything to do with guys in The Kliq. But I certainly imagine that in private with each other or talking to Bret, Neidhart, Pillman, or whoever that they would gripe about the stupid s*** the Kliq was up to. Plus, The Kliq basically had 'heat' with everybody in that they verbally buried anyone outside of their group.

There was a third crew with Bulldog and The Smoking Gunns. Probably a few others too In a shoot interview with Justin Credible, he said Bret Hart had his own backstage "clique" with people like Owen, Bulldog, Duke The Dumpster Droese, and I think Tatanka.
