It's in my opinion that in the past year or so TNA has took the focus off the other divisions to put more focus on the main event scene and the building of main event stars, the X Division in a way was used as a tool to do this as we saw the rise of Austin Aries from newcomer to World Champion in the space of a year, however otherwise the division was kind of left at the wayside. I think it may have been a necessary sacrifice as they now have a lot more star power at the top of the card and we don't just have Kurt/Sting/Hardy/Anderson as THE guys anymore. I honestly believe that in time we will see a return of prominence for the other divisions but in the grand scheme of things it was the right thing to do, TNA had to move focus to the main event scene.
Do you think it was the right choice, and either way do you think they've gone too far past the point of reviving the other divisions to the point where they are as good as or better than they have been before?

The other divisions are not as great as they have been at some points of TNA, but they are not terribly bad and can be revived at whatever point they feel like doing so.

I made a thread about this a number of months ago, and at the time I felt it was a good choice to make. There's only so much TV time, and they made the choice to make the World Title far and away the clear most important prize in the company. I like that they at least made a choice like that: wrestling too often falls into traps where a company can't choose what matters most, and TNA making a conscious choice to say "the World Title is most important" was smart, in my book.
That said, I do want them to start finding creative ways to have X, Tag, and Knockout matches that don't involve the champs of each division. A second TV show would be perfect for that, but they don't have that option. I'm hoping that the shift to the 4 PPV format is what winds up helping that along.

They've got two hours to kill each week.
They could drop like 2/3rds of the Aces&8's stuff and have enough for a real tag and x-division.
