Since NXT is essentially the minor leagues and WWE drafts all the time (or at least used to) couldn't they have some fun with it and draft like 10 wrestlers a year from NXT? Guys could also get demoted and sent down to NXT (kind of like they already do) if they don't work out.

Guys should just come up whenever WWE has something for them.

This is a pretty cool idea. Even the guys that don't get drafted are pushed into the spotlight. Build it up a couple of weeks in advance, show highlight reels of the NXT talent...that way even the guys that don't get picked are more exposed to the public than they usually would be, which would help them when they eventually get brought up. You can do various plots with it, too. Guy doesn't get drafted, wants revenge, becomes a vigilante or something, idk. Writes itself.

It's definitely a cool idea, but the average fan wouldn't care at all for the draft picks as they'd probably have no idea who they are. What might work though is to have 10 NXT guys have several matches over the course of a Raw show, and the winner gets drafted by Raw or Smackdown GM. But, the loser also has a chance to be drafted if they impressed.

First, you'd have to re-spilt the brands and I don't see that happening but I do like the idea. I don't know if I'd do ten guys/gals, that is an awful lot to debut at once. Maybe 2 each but build to it, use the YT PPV preshow and 1 match a show (RAW/SD/ME) to let guys show off, give 'em video packages and have someone like Regal or JR as the Mel Kiper type calling the action.

I think that the NXT guys should be brought up to SmackDown. Since all the bigger names appear on RAW anyway, let SmackDown be the platform for the younger stars to actually get over and build credibility.

There'd always be guys who aren't ready.

No. I dislike the attitude that a lot of people have that we should arbitrarily just have new guys coming in all the time.
New guys replace old guys when they go, and you have as much talent on the go as you can handle.
Also, what's wrong with a surprise debut? New guys should appear when they're ready and when the story permits it, not just because it's that time of year. Plus introducing so many at once can get them lost in the shuffle.

I'm torn because I don't think people should come in without plans but at the same time, I f***ing love drafts and I miss the brand split draft. So...yeah I got nothing, I'm torn.
