Highly touted female independent wrestler, The Alpha Female, who is also been advertised for the upcoming TNA Gut Check in Nottingham England in just a few days was interviewed by Joshua Modaberi of Collar And Elbow. In the interview, She talks about getting into wrestling, her first TNA and WWE tryout and her upcoming TNA Gut Check. Below is a quick recap:
How She Got Into Pro Wrestling:
"It all began when I was 10-years-old we were moving houses and one of my brothers had this wrestling book that he had just thrown away; he didn’t need it any more and I found it. I was looking though the book and I was so fascinated, it had all these cool characters like Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart and The Undertaker. I then started to watch it on TV and it was just incredible, it was like an escape from reality.
Then when I was about 16 years old I asked my Mum and Dad if they would let me do mat wrestling and I spent one year doing that before we moved again. When I was 18 years old I found this wrestling school in Berlin and the rest is history."
Her Favorite Wrestlers Growing Up:
Growing up I watched WWE and WCW, but I loved the whole nWo storyline and I was totally against them. I was a massive Sting fan, [and] when Hulk Hogan did his legendary leg drop on Randy Savage that was great; I was totally into the stories. One of the things that I enjoyed the most was when Hulk Hogan and The Giant were on the top of the roof at Halloween Havoc in the monster trucks.
I also liked the smaller guys like Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Juventud Guerrera.
Her Dream Opponent:
I say this all the time, my all time favourite female wrestler is Sarita: I just love the way she looks, the dedication she shows for the sport but also for bodybuilding, I love bodybuilding as well, and she has won numerous competitions. I really would love to wrestle her and I think it would be a good match because she is very good technically and a high-flyer and I’m this big monster.
Another girl I would like to wrestle is Kharma (Awesome Kong) and I know lots of people would like to see that match.
On Her Past TNA and WWE Tryouts:
I had a TNA tryout in 2010 but I didn’t have the look that I have right now, I got some feedback and it wasn’t all positive but I learnt from it and I’ve grown from it and I really have to say thank you to them because of that tryout it made me realise I have to be more confident and I had to learn how to work better in the ring and I had to change my look and I did all three of them. I’m now ready to go back and tell them, you told me this and I did it and now I’m ready.
The WWE tryout was one year ago last November and it was all positive feedback. I had a match with Shanna and it was a really good match. They really liked me and said that I was a huge monster, a sexy monster, so let’s see. I’m still in contact with them but it’s always like a timing thing, maybe they just don’t need a monster right now but maybe they need that monster next month or next year, you never know.
On Being Invited For The Upcoming Gut Check In The UK:
"I will be giving it my best, I always give my best. For the past two months I have been at the 4FW training school and I train there every second day and I’ve just been preparing myself for the Gut Check, going to the gym everyday and I’ll be in perfect shape and I’ve learnt some new moves as well.
I think I will impress them; they have invited me already so I’m just really hoping for the best out of it. People have been contacting me on Twitter and Facebook wishing me lots of luck and that they would like to see me in TNA.
I will be representing Europe and showing them we can kick ass as well but for me it’s just another experience, if they don’t sign me it doesn’t mean that my world has come to an end. I will take as much as I can from the Gut Check experience, I will listen to all of the advice and try to grow from it."
