Anyone who wants to is certainly entitled to open their wallets and send money to Jake Roberts and Scott Hall if they so choose. You might get an autograph for your trouble. Based on the videos, it's going to help DDP heal them, after all. Just send them money. It's different this time, bro. Video removed because of religion."Give us $80,000. We're trustworthy!"

Did DDP give the diamond cutter to your father or something? You seem to really have it out for them.

Make no mistake, these cameras aren't just conveniently there recording what's going on and being uploaded to YouTube for fun. It's a strategic plan, with financial goals in mind. We're talking about a bunch of guys who have worked the people out of their money on camera their entire lives. This time it's to sell a yoga program for DDP, and to work the fans into giving their money to Jake Roberts and Scott Hall. Wait. The fundraiser for Scott Hall is intended to work me into giving money to Scott Hall? This is shocking news! We've all been tricked!

This really sounds like an actual joke, it's something they could just say without changing it on something like family guy and that would make me laugh.

To be fair, instead of it being a bunch of people downing on this Kickstarter thing, it's only really one guy downing on it over and over. Overall, there's been an overwhelmingly positive response, which is good to see.
Obviously this is how DDP makes his living now, so it's not like he's claiming to be some sort of charitable non-profit agency. If he can make a living by providing a service/product that promotes positive change in people's lives... well, there's a lot of people out there who've made good livings doing a hell of a lot worse.
Of course there's cameras filming, that's the whole idea of a documentary/"reality show." Maybe, just maybe, Page really believes that he can help these guys, and sell his method to an eager market that's always looking for innovations in rehabbing addicts.
Sure, there's always the possibility that Roberts and Hall are just lost souls who will fall right back into their old patterns after their time with DDP is done, using whatever compensation/good will they earned to fuel a relapse. That's the thing with addicts. A lot of them are good people who just have a crippling weakness, but a lot of them are manipulative scumbags who really just don't care too. These guys obviously have friends/good contacts in high places to have received attempts at help along the way through various means.
To summarize, Jake and Scott have somebody who, by hook or by crook, haven't given up on them yet. It's an individual's choice to donate/make a purchase (it's not lke DDP's asking for a handout, he's presenting something in return at least). Jeez, would it kill you to see the inspirational side of this story rather than be so intensely, confrontationally skeptical?

Of course it's all filmed and staged. DDP has said all along that they're filming a documentary... in fact if you donate $35 you get a copy of that documentary. It says so right on the fund raising page! Of course it's edited, of course it's set up, of course DDP and everyone else is pulling on people's heartstrings to get the money.
But, there's also the truth that Jake has lost a ton of weight, has been sober for quite some time now and got his surgery because of DDP, the fans and his own motivation. Hopefully Scott can do the same thing.
This is exactly like pro wrestling, if you think about it. In pro wrestling the characters are fake, the storylines staged and the results pre-determined but the physical activity still hurts and happens. Just because the documentary is staged, doesn't mean the recovery is too.
(And Scott Hall has a lot more issues than just the booze and the drugs, just like Jake does. If he doesn't address those then no amount of rehab is going to work)

How long has Jake been sober?
Arda Ocal noted on Twitter that he spoke to Jake “The Snake” Roberts this weekend and the WWE Legend has been sober now for 110 days, the longest he’s ever gone since he was 10 years old. When Jake started Diamond Dallas Page’s DDPYOGA, he was at 305lbs. and he’s now down to almost 230lbs.
This is one reason why I feel sending money to DDP is useful. The results of his work speak for themselves.

It's definately great seeing two of our favorites growing up getting their act together. Jake is definately an amazing story at this point. Hall has a way to go but I think rather than be hindered by a wrestler by his side at this point in his life it's probably for the best. As for the greatness of the program outside of wrestlers just look at the website with before and after stories. The YRG program was first in book form so it's been around even longer than the website. DDP puts everything out there, he has the website along with a facebook.
If anyone has a problem or believes it's fake he has a lot of regular folks to back him up with the program. I am definately more inclined to believe a yoga/excercise/strength training program works over all the other commercial programs we see on TV where you can "Eat all you want." Pizza, burgers and dessert made me fat for 20 years!!! How can you lose weight eating that? But then again, I see skinny people who were once fat who endorse it so I can't be a skeptic. But I definately think more highly of YRG and think local drug rehab centers should consider it.
