I happened to be watching a few minutes ago. And Today did a story on a man who had lost 140 lbs in the last 10 months using yoga. What was the man's inspiration? DDP! He found clips of DDP doing yoga online, and ordered his DVD. They had a brief interview with DDP, who had seen the videos of the man's progress, and kept in touch with him through email helping give the man even more inspiration.
Just thought it was pretty cool and had to share.

DDP is quickly becoming one of my favourite people. He just seems so genuine in wanting to help others.

I really hope and think this will take off for DDP as a pretty big deal. I would love to see him do motivational speeches as well. I think he has hasn't he?

Finally, a guy the wrestling industry can actually be proud of. Hopefully the WWE backs the yoga business at some point, the goodwill would be worth some discounted plugs and advertising.

DDP looks like one of the most genuine and nice guys in the entire business.
I've always been a big fan of his, but this makes me a rabid fan of his.

In the late 90s when I used to read WCW magazine, there was a letter once where a woman said that she wanted to address something to Diamond Dallas Page.
Apparently her disabled son was very non-verbal and didn't engage with very much. Then one day she was channel hopping and Nitro came on, with DDP cutting a promo. He son was enthralled by it, and then when it was over and she changed the channel he said 'no, no, change it back to 'Bang!' man!' and tried to the do hand sign.
He apparently became a huge wrestling fan and found strength and positivity through his fandom of DDP.
Long story short - DDP has been inspiring people for a while. One of them was that kid, and honestly, one of them was the asshole writing this post too.

Wow. I never watched much of DDP when he was wrestling, but God he seems like an amazing man.

Yeah, Page is amazing. Honestly, this is why I could never get behind him as a heel, either in WCW or (especially) the WWF. Even then, he seemed like such a naturally likeable guy that it never felt right to want to boo him. It's terrific to see his yoga empire really taking off in the public eye. While I'm in good shape, it's inspired me to take up yoga to prevent any physical problems one might encounter later in life.

Just the fact that he can get guys who would normally never do yoga to embrace it says a lot.

I have the videos and need to get on them. I'm 6'6", 320 lbs with bad knees. I move well, have a physical job, and manage to wear my weight pretty proportionally, aside my gut. Really don't care about my looks at all (I have a wife, who am I trying to impress *I kid, I kid*). Mostly, I need to do it for my health. I'm 33 (the age my dad was when he died of a heart attack) on meds for high blood pressure.
My problem is motivation. I did it for a couple of weeks when I got them a month ago, but due to Christmas, work, etc, I rarely had time when I wasn't tired. The beginner regime is Monday, Wed. and Friday, and while I'm off Monday, when I get off at 7am, I'm exhausted. And I sleep 3 - 9pm and get up and go to work. I have to go to bed at 3 due to obligations, so getting up early isn't an option or I'd lose more of the sleep I barely have. Also, I'm just lazy. Monday, I actually plan on getting back to it, and I'll just have to force myself to do it when I get home from work in the morning, even if it means crashing on the couch afterward.
BTW, speaking of DDP as the apparent wrestling messiah, is Jake Roberts still living with him? Last I heard, DDP was sitting on Jake, getting him clean and having him do YRG to get him healthy.

Yeah, Jake's still living with him. According to recent reports Scott Hall is supposedly going to live with him for a bit too. As for the Yoga program it definitely works. I was about 310 pounds in July last year, and have some problems due to arthritis, as of now I'm currently at about 252 pounds purely from doing the Beginner timetable in the enclosed booklet and am now starting Intermediate level. Has helped me a hell of a lot and I'd recommend it to anyone

I love reading about people having success using DDP's techniques. It's great to see someone transform their life and it's great to see someone you grew up watching and enjoying being responsible for their success. We general hear the bad stories and how wrestlers have lost it all. For as good as DDP was in WCW perhaps he's doing even better now and it's nice to see. Marc Mero has a pretty nice website as well dedicated to helping kids overcome adversity.

So many wrestlers use DDP's Yoga, and now all of these great stories are coming out of people turning their lives around thanks to him.
I've always loved the guy as a wrestler and he always seemed like a great human being.
I think it's time to give his program a shot.

Hey everyone!
Sorry if this has been posted before, but in regards to the DDP Yoga MP3's on the site; has anyone tried with this instead of the DVDS?
Reason I ask is the DVD packs are priced considerably higher than the mp3's (rightfully so) but I am curious if anyone works out solely with the MP3?
Thanks!
