His other wrestling accomplishments withstanding, DDP should get into the Hall of Fame just on this alone. This, a thousand times this.

I wish I had seen more of DDP - hate I didn't watch wrestling back then. He looks like a genuinely phenomenal, inspirational human being. It's like he's the universe's way of balancing out for everything that's bad about the wrestling business.

Slightly unrelated but was watching the best of Monday Nitro Volume 2 last night and there was a segment where page was talking about calling Savage on Thanksgiving just to tell him thank you for everything he had done for his career. DDP was almost in tears through most of it. Had me choked up also.

Knowing how "real" reality shows actually are makes me wonder how much of these YouTube videos are worked for the cameras. Clearly he got Jake cleaned up and in good shape, so that much is a shoot, but the rest.....

Clearly he got Jake cleaned up and in good shape, so that much is a shoot, but the rest..... Reality shows are(usually) fake in that they just use the best possible footage together with some good editing while ignoring the rest. That paints sort of a blurry image of the real thing in most reality shows, but here that doesn't really apply. The best footage is the one that comes after many, many failures. I mean they probably wouldn't post the Hall video, for example, if he didn't turn out to be receptive of the idea. What I'm saying is, if you can get results(and DDP clearly can) then there's no need to fake anything.

I love DDP and think he is a great guy, and I am a GIANT Scott Hall mark (Razor Ramon is in my all-time top 5 and was my favorite growing up), so I hope for only the best to come of this. I will say, though, that the Coldplay-style outro music was laying it on a bit thick. I mean, this is a clear alcoholic whose life is f***ed up just saying he'll come over -- that's moving enough.

I believe the videos are being made by the guy who made the documentary that Arthur Boorman (the veteran that DDP helped that got a LOT of non-wrestling fans into the program) was in. He's there at the house with them because he's making a documentary DVD charting Jake's journey. The DVD of the documentary was actually one of the rewards on the IndieGoGo drive for Jake's surgery.

That's just six months, folks. Also, he's already like $500 over the goal. More power to him and DDP, seriously. That second picture man, He has that vintage steely jake the snake gaze in his eyes, Looks great.

...so I'm the only one skeptical?
This DDP Yoga just seems way too good to be true. Let's see how maintaining this goes.

Be skeptical if you'd like. You are entitled to be distrustful and you are right to wait and see. But plz at least celebrate the accomplishment for a minute or two.

...so I'm the only one skeptical? This DDP Yoga just seems way too good to be true. Let's see how maintaining this goes. Speaking from someone who's been doing DDP Yoga for a while, it's like anything else in life -- you get what you put into it. You have to want it and you have to try. If you truly embrace it, make changes to your lifestyle (for those doing it for weight loss), and give it your all you VERY much get all sorts of results. I lost weight, I sleep better, I have more tone, don't have any of the aches and pains I used to. It works. That being said, I have slacked on it. There's actually a section in the "manual" that tells you it's ok. Just get yourself back on the horse and keep going. There's even suggestions for junk food to eat with recipes. Sorry if I sound like a shill, but this is something that has seriously changed my life and made me a much healthier person. Hearing Scott Hall saying he wanted to die broke my heart. Seeing Jake Roberts, of all people, so motivated and trying to help someone else get sober is amazing. DDP is doing the impossible here and he really, truly cares. I love it.

Knowing how "real" reality shows actually are makes me wonder how much of these YouTube videos are worked for the cameras. Clearly he got Jake cleaned up and in good shape, so that much is a shoot, but the rest..... It is kind of weird. I've grown to be quite a skeptic and am always weary of bulls***, and it kind of hit me during the DDP/Scott Hall video, I don't really get the timeline because I feel like we've been hearing about DDP taking Scott Hall in for weeks, so it seemed weird to me that only yesterday (unless this video's been sitting for a while) contact was made. But I think that's more a result of my nagging cynicism than anything else. I really doubt DDP would work this, "okay Scott come down, but before we do this let me hang up and call you back so we can do this for Youtube". I don't think Scott would put on his drunk voice for the benefit of DDP's video blog. Obviously DDP's genuine even if there might be a bit of hamming it up for the cameras (which I think pro wrestlers are just naturally inclined to do). Really excited to see if DDP can turn Scott Hall around like he is with Jake Roberts. I'm a little fearful for both of them when they leave DDP's house, though. This is why I can't help people. DDP does this amazing thing and all that stands out in my head is how crowded and inconvenient DDP's living situation must be with all these people hanging around.

thats an old video. You can tell by looking at Jake, hes a bit chubbier in that video than he is in the most recent pic of him. I think its awesome what hes done with Jake so far, but DDP's camp knows what they are doing. The before and after picture you can clearly see he looks worlds better, but in the first pic they have him in loose shorts and a bigger t shirts and hes positioned in just the right way so he looks a big bigger than he is.. the second pic hes standing up right..wearing jeans and a tighter fitting t shirt.

I think those before and after shots are indicative of how Jake would like to present himself too. An alcoholic whose body is broken down is just going to pull on a pair of loose shorts and an old t-shirt. Now he probably wants to present himself better. He has his drinking under control, he's lost weight and is in much better physical condition. I'm as cynical as anyone else but I think he'd want to dress better and show that off.

It's definitely an older video, since Jake tweeted that Scott had been sober for 15 days when he saw him. He was clearly not sober in that video. Plus, when you're that bad of an alcoholic and pillhead, you can't just stop cold turkey and get on a plane. You're at serious risk for a seizure. Hall likely dried himself out over two weeks and then went down.

I hope Nash is posting that in opposition to his friend saying he was going to do something and might not have done it rather than Diamond's influence to help his friend/colleague. I hope Nash isn't jealous of Dallas reaching out to these guys and so far being successful with Jake. Dallas has done something that Nash hasn't done (not even sure if he tried though) and no matter how hard they tried Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan couldn't do (still waiting for Beach Shop to close and Hooters type restaurant to open and close) and that's be successful in a venture outside of wrestling. Not only that but he's probably prolonged the lives of others and saved lives as well.

I've been skeptical, too, but like, watching Scott Hall's shoot from years ago over the weekend, I thought of DDP's thing with Jake and hoped that if it's all legit that Scott seeks him out. So...cool, I say.

As a fitness programme I definitely think it works. I've been doing it the last few weeks and although I'm not interested in losing weight with it - just getting fitter and more flexible, it's definitely doing that. Even after the first couple of sessions I could feel that my back was looser and better and it's easy to step into even as a complete beginner. I can imagine that living with DDP and having the system around you 24/7 must be amazing if you're willing to try.
I really hope that Scott Hall is willing to try and stick with it. Jake seems to have done so and you can see the results in him, not just physically but in his attitude too.
DDP is an amazing guy.

Not only that but he's probably prolonged the lives of others and saved lives as well. I know that Nash is not perfect, but he absolutely has tried to help Scott. I am going by memory, but I recall him saying that every time the phone would ring, his stomach would sink, and he would wonder if it was about Scott, if something had happened to him. I think that Nash just knows Scott is Scott, and Scott ruins his own chances. I read it as him being skeptical that Hall will follow through, not an issue with DDP.
