Well, the deal I made a few months ago with my boss finally finished up today. I had originally picked up an N64 with Mario Kart 64 and Starfox 64, as well as a Gamecube for $40. Unfortunately, she forgot the gamecube controllers, so it's just been sitting for a while. Well... today, she said she was cleaning her daughter's room and ran across the controllers, plus Super Mario Sunshine, Simpsons Hit & Run, Mario Party 5 and Super Smash Bros. Melee..... not bad for $40 total.

I'm asking this question in this thread because I think you collectors will agree with me. Do you ever buy a used game in a blank or generic case and then regret it later? Like one of those plain white GameStop cases with just the name of the game on it? When I first got a Wii, which was also my first time playing GameCube games, I went to GameStop and bought all 4 WWE GC games. But WrestleMania XIX was in the generic white case, and it sticks out like a sore thumb with the rest of my GameCube library. Nowadays, I refrain from buying CD based games without it's original case and outer label. It just doesn't look right.

I have a question that goes along with this kind of....Does anyone know a place online where you can reprint out the cover label for games....I'm looking for the cover for Little Big Planet for the PSP and Capcom Vs. Tatsunoko for the Wii.

I don't even buy games if they aren't at least a 9 out of 10 in condition. People try to get around this nowadays by saying it is "in good playing condition". Yeah, nevermind that everything has been cheaply replaced. Thankfully I've never been a collector of boxes for cartridge games, but any disc games must have everything they came with, oh and no greatest hits versions either. I would rather pay a little extra to have a nicer looking collection.

Cybernator Dragon View Super Adventure Island II War of the Gems F-Zero X
I'm down to about 20 NES and SNES altogether to pick up, which I never thought I'd be at. More amazingly is I have the manuals and maps to 98% of the 300 or so I already have.
If anyone wants to help a brother out with a Joe and Mac 2 manual, it would be appreciated. I've been looking for that, forever.

TMNT: Tournament Fighters is such a great game, always a blast to go back and kick shell with Raphael and the music is so catchy.

I'm in the process of trying to find a Sega Saturn that works for longer than a couple of hours. I just got a beautiful white Saturn the other day and was thrilled to have a replacement for my mostly dead PAL Saturn, but sadly it was not to be as the disc drive died as I was practicing my combos with Sakura in Street Fighter Zero 2. I'm talking "this is an ex-disc drive" level here, it doesn't even read music CDs any more.
So what did I do? I went back on ebay and bought another white Saturn. Hopefully this one works. Fingers crossed.
Oh yeah, hello there retrogaming thread. I've been wasting my money on these silly old games and systems for some years now (some of you old-timers might still vaguely remember my very first "I bought a Dreamcast" thread I posted five years ago on my long defunct old account), and at the moment there's 20 different video game consoles in my apartment (21 if you count the Sega Nomad as a separate system). I may or may not have gone overboard with this stuff, although at least I haven't bought a Neo-Geo AES or MVS yet.
