Clash all the way. SNME was too late for me and by the time I really gave a damn about WWE, they were dead or meaningless.

I think that the Clashes were probably better wrestling shows in terms of matches but I've had a lot more fun watching SNME, though they were both more/less before my time.

I liked the Clash a lot but I don't recall watching Saturday Night Main Event. Might have been a bit before my time.

They were both great. Clashes had better wrestling, SNME had great production values and did a better job of getting characters over to the general public.

SNME, because I'd manage to stay up and watch them - the late night aspect made them seem very special. Plus you rarely saw shows with all big names on regular TV back then.
Clash was very good, don't get me wrong, but I started with WCW later and by that time I was used to those kinds of shows.

Saturday Night's Main Event aired in Saturday Night's Live's timeslot, not after it. SNME was always shown on weeks where there was no new SNL episode.

I'll have to go with SNME. I LOVED the Clash's and the NWA brand, but I would get all jittery when Saturday Night's Main Event would be on, ESPECIALLY when the Megapowers were formed-most exciting moment for me EVER

what's really interesting is that there were almost the exact same number of episodes of both shows. SNME had 36 and Clash had 35. it might be interesting to put them head to head and get a winner for each show

Clashes were fairly pointless after about Clash 20 and completely pointless once Nitro started.
SNME went downhill a bit in the 90s but it only ran until late 1992, forgetting the brief revival last decade.

The Clash. There were great moments on SNME as well, but the Clashes stand out more clearly in my mind. Flair vs. Sting going 45 minutes, Flair vs Steamboat 2/3 falls, Flair vs. Funk in the I Quit match, the wild brawl between the Midnight Express and the Fantastics, and more. I miss those days.
