This night I felt that Daniel Bryan's spot as Kane's Goofy Sidekick is really becoming a waste of his talent. Wouldn't it have been cool if he won the Royal Rumble and got back into doing things of consequence?

I don't think that he's going to go back to being SRS as long as he's in WWE.

I don't think that he's going to go back to being SRS as long as he's in WWE. I'm not saying he needs to be SRS, if he's goofy fine, whatever, but certainly there's a better purpose for him than being Laurel to Kane's Hardy.

Bryan's one kick to a face's head and refusing to shout "No" or "Yes" away from being a serious heel so I'm not worried about him.

Yeah, as entertaining as Team Hell No has been, for Bryan it's a big step down from being WHC.
He's main event, and the company should book him in the main event after he and Kane lose their titles.

I've started feeling that lately. He's digging himself too deep in the hole as a joke. I don't remember the last time he said anything serious on the mic. There has to be a balance, especially at his size.

I think Kane and Bryan are still booked credibly enough in the ring that their shenanigans is still alright by me. They need a better feud though because I think a lot of the problem is just that everything they do is just self contained for the most part, their "feuding" with Rhodes Scholars but there's not really much of an arc to it.

There has to be a balance, especially at his size. While true, I feel that Bryan is talented enough that a sudden heel turn (maybe turning on Kane after losing the titles) will allow him to pull a total 180. Have Bryan go past Kane and feud with ADR or whoever and he'll be fine. Hopefully this happen sooner rather than later as Hell No is beginning to wear thin on me.

I don't doubt him, but I think he might be pidgeonholed by creative, or Vince etc. The key is that he needs to WIN. He's always the guy that has skills but can't win.

Another can't please everybody case:
A large, loud segment of fans (at least on the 'net) screamed to the heavens forever about wanting WWE to "bring back the tag teams." WWE is doing that, and Team Hell No is the best, most interesting and dominant tag pairing since either JeriShow or Miz and Morrison, depending on how you look at it.
But then someone feels that's nothing of consequence. Watch the tag match tonight and you'll see Bryan's wrestling is booked and taken pretty seriously, and that Kane and Daniel are an important part of that midcard people like to say the WWE doesn't have -- they have a long-running storyline with their anger management issues, they are over with the crowd (especially Bryan) and they make the tag belts feel more important than they have in ages.
But that's just a waste of time, apparently.

There's nothing wrong with Kane having a goofy tag team partner who can wrestle, but Bryan has potential to be so much more. And I don't think that it's a situation that's irreparable, just that it's a waste of his talents.

I think he's fine. He seems to be filling the Kurt Angle role of someone that can kick people's asses but is yucking it up right now. He's always presented as a legit threat and all it takes is him snapping or getting serious and he's golden again.

I don't think that he's going to go back to being SRS as long as he's in WWE. Pretty much. WWE once again under utilizing a guy who can be booked as a technical machine, but he's been treated in a little brother role. And a guy like Miz who seems like an all around goofy guy in real life, is given multiple opportunities to look like a tough guy.........despite not looking like a tough guy.

I think bryan is set up after breaking up with kane to get back into the world title picture. I mean a feud between him and dolph over the title is easy as sh** to book plus you know you will get great matches out of those 2.

To me, it's as simple as this:
Bryan's had easily the strongest crowd reactions of his WWE career for the last year, some of the biggest in the entire company. In that year, his spot on the card has dropped.
Huh?
I think WWE was too confused by Bryan's popularity to figure out how to work with it, and eventually we got here.

It's called, "giving the midcard something to do". Not everybody can be in the main event at the same time. He's entertaining, he's prominent, he's in a storyline, he's on TV constantly. There's not a MAIN EVENT spot for him at the moment, with Rock/Cena/Punk, but that doesn't make him a loser, I'm still glad he's on my TV.
