Apparently PWInsider has said this
Got that from John Canton from TheJohnReport.
It's going to be pretty interesting.

Oh joy...Jericho. Why is it that none of these established guys are in it for the long haul? I mean, I'm less inclined to care if I know he's going to be gone after his program finishes.

2 year build for Brock vs Cody at WM 31. that's clearly the only way to go here

Okay, they've bought themselves 2 more years to figure out a way to do something interesting with Brock Lesnar.

wrestlemania 31: Lesnar vs Sonnen. he should have used up all of his unwarranted title shots by then to transition from MMA to WWE

It's hard to get invested in a returning superstar when you know that they'll be gone again in a few months.

So that means they actually signed Sting and Batista, right?

Wow that's pretty awesome actually. Ziggler/Y2J at Mania this year might be like the Y2J/HBK feud from WM 19. 2 years for Brock so I assume we'll get to see all of the possible big matches against Taker, Ryback, Sheamus, Orton, and Punk.

Money. Well Jericho's getting up there in years, but he can still put over young guys and make good money for a few months work. Brock is Brock. He doesn't give two craps about wrestling (unlike say Rock who does have family connections to the business). However, Brock's a genetic freak and former UFC champ so Vince and the fans will eat it.

What I mean is...from a fan's standpoint, why should I get emotionally invested in a return that is sure to be short lived? I understand that he's got other stuff going on, but if you can't at least devote 6-8 months to be there, then don't even bother. I'm sure that whoever he has his Mania match with, it'll be good. But overall? I'd rather him not even be there and give someone else that spot, who WILL be there after Mania.

Jericho's last run was so awful. "I'M GONNA GET YOU TO BOO ME BY BEING SOME SORT OF QUASI META HEEL ON TWITTER AND NOT SPEAK BOO HISS SMARKS!" Instead of being a face that people wanted to cheer, he was the heel who comes out to confused reactions and cheers. He was CM Punk's recent heel turn only sub RESPECT and Heyman with a light bright jacket.
Hopefully he knocks the shit off and stops trying to reinvent the wheel, just be a face and wrestle Cesaro and stuff.

Maybe I've been burned by the WWE enough, but I get this sinking feeling about the Brock news. I get this vibe they might end up doing with him what they've done with Rock. Have him come in occasionally, eventually build to a title match, Brock wins the title, lead into a Wrestlemania main event where the one man that can stop Brock Lesnar steps up to win the WWE title back for the WWE Universe...
John Cena.
I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

WWE's so top heavy right now with people like Cena, Orton, Sheamus, etc. then they bring in guys like Rock, Brock, Jericho, etc. that it's hard for a young guy to break through the glass ceiling. Which is one of the reasons that lead to Punk's infamous promo. I said it in the rumble thread, but it's beginning to look like WCW. It's clearly not as well defined as WCW nor are all the guys as old as say Hogan was. But you definitely get the feeling of there being the upper class guys and lower class guys. As we all know that strategy of bringing legends and doing the same similar feuds over and over again is not going to keep business up in the long term.

I want Jericho to be a heel again, but not the crappy one from last year, I want 2001 king of the world Jericho.
The feud between him and Miz will write itself.

As they discovered last year, Jericho is at that point guys like Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, etc. got to. He's now a representation of the WWE the fans grew up watching, and they pretty much refuse to boo him. I think he'll always be a babyface any time we see him from now on.
