Arguably better than going to see it live. Despite Rock and Cena winning, I can honestly say that last night was one of my most enjoyable moments as a wrestling fan. So, some questions: a) Was anyone else in Walkabout in Birmingham watching it this morning? b) Has anyone else experienced wrestling within the confines of a pub, alongside many other drunken fans? What stories can you tell? Favourite moment of the night was when some t*t invaded the stage only to be dragged off. It was just like being there. I can only imagine security dragging him outside for a good beating. Any more?

Either live or at home with your own friends is the answer. All too frequently you encounter complete imbeciles shouting pointless things all night at the screen (which doesn't have ears to hear them yelling, yet they still feel it necessary to shout in the screen's direction) when in the bar setting.

That's true, I did want to start up a "he can't hear you" chant last night. However I don't recall much banter which wasn't good natured. I guess I got lucky with the crowd.

We have a pub down the road from us where I saw WrestleMania last year, probably gonna go again this year. Watching people drunkedly heckle Brodus Clay and his "mommas" was possibly one of the best parts of watching it there last year.

I'm used to watching it home alone but wouldn't mind the pub experience if they did one down here in London.

Watching it in a pub means that you have a small enough crowd to start chants in that make no sense to anyone but your immediate circle of friends. We got a 'Super Dragon' chant going quite a few times at Mania at a pub last year.

I was at a bar last night, a load of people dressed up as wrestlers, and it was a fun time. Certainly made the PPV better to watch than if I had watched it alone.

Nothing beats the experience of being at a show live, but last night was my first experience of seeing a ppv in a bar (the koyoto lounge in manchester, england) live and it was a whole heap of fun. I think it being on at 1am added to the atmosphere

I was behind the bar at Rileys in Exeter, we had 70 people in going nuts, we get a great atmosphere at the PPV parties: youtu.be/cNThScaUNQE

I cannot watch wrestling with other people, as odd as that may be. And here's why...
I've went to pubs/bars to watch shows before and always felt like the waitresses were annoyed with the amount of food and drinks we were ordering. I'd start with an appetizer, a couple drinks, food, another drink... and it still didn't feel like enough for the people working there. Maybe it was just those bars, idk.
I've also went to a couple of movie theatres (Canada) to watch shows and the fans around me were unbearable... "Do you know Mark Calluses used to be married to that Stefanie MacMahons girl?" Just a bunch of stupid comments all night long and the biggest Cena marks you've ever witnessed.
And I've also gone to a friends place where a group of 4-5 of us would get together and it always turned into a fail. One guy would go for a smoke and then come back and complain nobody grabbed him for a certain match or spot. Another guy would get drunk and want to wrestle on the floor with everyone. It was not enjoyable, at all.
So now I order them at home and just watch them alone. I do the same thing when I watch RAW and SmackDown as well --- a lot of my friends hang out and watch them at a bar by my place. I just prefer being alone with nobody else around to make comments or judgements. Have found this works best for me ever since Josh Matthews mentioned he did the same thing on the first season of Tough Enough.

I love watching a PPV in a bar. That's where you hear the best stuff since you've got a big cross section of every type of fan.
This is often where you'll hear those sagely delivered urban legends too. The guy that tells you Kane has been played by 6 people? It won't be a kid, it'll be some guy in his 40 or 50s that's been watching since the 70s. He'll believe it too.
