Not to make a usual 'Cena Heel' thread....but the shield have been mainly attacking Cenas rivals/competition...Ryback..The rock..Sheamus...Orton.
Anyone think that there could be a swerve at Wrestlemania similar to Austins turn? Imagine if its either Rock vs Cena or a triple threat with punk...out come the shield attacking Rock...smiling at Punk before attacking him....Cena wins and celebrates with them.
You have Ryback and a newly turned face CM Punk to feud with!
This is slight fantasy booking but i feel like its not TOTALLY out the realms of possibility...

No way could I see Cena going heel, and no way could I not see Punk involved with the Shield. Why are they even pretending to act like he isn't? Although it is interesting that Vince actually called him on it last night

They might want a heel dynamic in Rock Vs Cena this time. Would be interesting.

Until the words come outta his mouth, I don't see Cena going heel. Not now

The lengths people go to make the Shield a bigger mystery than it actually is astounds me.

The lengths people go to make the Shield a bigger mystery than it actually is astounds me. God forbid we hold out hope they do something that's not entirely predictable.

Vince is in the ring, demanding to see the man behind the Shield.
Curt Hawkins comes out, and while we're all confused and boggled, he ties it ALL together (Shield, Punk/Heyman, Maddox, Ziggler/AJ/Big E, even Brock) and explains it all brilliantly.
........
*wakes up*
Aw shit, that dream I just had was silly make believe fun. No chance it'd ever happen, but fun.
*watches RAW, Vince reveals he's behind it all and brillianty ties it ALL together*
Aw son of a bitch.

Yeah, until it happens...Cena is never turning heel.

I think it's the last bastion of hope of potentially adding intrigue and spice to Rock vs. Cena II. With that being said, considering the WWE just went through with the plan that has been predicted since November, there's no way they shake things up.

No. Paul Heyman controls the Shield. The swerve is going to be that Punk has no idea he's doing it.

This keeps coming up.
People keep giving WWE more credit than they deserve.

I was just reading my post from last month on this. Definitely not the first time it's been mentioned. But it's something I'm firmly behind. It's not the first time someone's taken lumps from a faction as a feint in order to conceal the fact they're involved with them. I think the Shield isn't Punk's faction, they're Cena's. Shield takes out Ryback, Cena's only competition in line for Punk. I guarantee they go after Rock, too. This is just me stroking my smarkboner in an attempt at reaching the goal of turning Cena heel. Otherwise, it's Heyman without Punk's knowledge, which sets the tone for his eventual face turn.

That would = Cena being a heel and that will never happen.

No. Paul Heyman controls the Shield. The swerve is going to be that Punk has no idea he's doing it. Honestly I could see the Shield laying waste to Punk with Paul E. pretending he has no idea what it's all about, only for him to re-emerge with Brock as his guy and the Shield as his enforcers, the Sword being Brock's chest tattoo. It's probably more likely that they job out to Rock/Cena/Ryback/Sheamus and disappear though.

Are people guaranteeing that the Shield is working for Punk only upset about the predictability of last night's events? I don't think it's very fair to say that the WWE has always been totally predictable, at least in recent history.
I actually think (and hope) that there's a lot of potential behind this angle, and that WWE is not necessarily going to screw this up.
