They should have handed the entire JLA concept to Nolan, and contracted him to direct or produce a movie each for Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash and Aquaman. Then add his version of Superman and Bale as Batman into a unified film that he himself would produce or direct. That would've been epic, but I think he said after Man of Steel he's done working super hero movies.

Warner Brothers want the success of the Avengers, but aren't prepared to put in the ground work required. The Avengers movie was largely the payoff for the set up that had been previously established in Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. Warner Brothers are trying to jump to the end with a cobbled together team of EmoSuperman, probably a Bale-knockoff Batman, and oh yeah wonderwomanflashgreenlanternandmiscellaneous

I remember when no one seemed to give a f*** about how much a movie made really, now you have to worry about a movie that hasn't even been made yet, and it hinges on a movie that isn't even out yet.

Like another poster said already, what needs to be done is that Batman/Superman crossover film. In the process they NEED to get Bale on board for it.

Nolan and actual superpowers just wouldnt fit his style, or at least the style of his Bat films.

I honestly never really cared for Superman. I always found him to be kind of unlikable & boring. I've always liked Batman the most because he's just some regular guy who uses different gadgets instead of having superpowers. Also, Batman has the way better villains to face off against in my opinion. I don't think it's fair for a Justice League movie not to happen based on just Man of Steels' performance, when the Batman movies literally made billions by itself.

I think the reason Superman often comes off as boring and unlikable is that a lot of the people that write for him get too carried away with the idea that he's an alien. Here's the thing, Krypton isn't really an origin story, just an explanation for his powers. His origin is that he's a nice farm kid from the midwest who wants to help where he can, he just has a very unique set of tools to help with.
But writers want to write these grand sweeping epics where Superman is so far outside of humanity that he can't completely identify with them while at the same time looking out for them like they're little children. If they just wrote him as a normal, nice guy with superpowers, I think you'd have a much more likeable character and much more entertaining story then "Spock/Klaatu/Jesus" parables we seem to get instead.
I know a lot of people had a lot of problems with Smallville, but the one thing I will always give them credit for is that they made Clark Kent, not Superman but Clark Kent, feel like a real person with real motivations and feelings and emotions, and didn't just make Clark seem like a parody of a real person created by someone who doesn't seem to have that much experience dealing with the human race the way the old Christopher Reeves movies did.
