I don't get how it can be said she's done next to nothing. She's been featured for nearly a year in various storylines (Main Event storylines) that have been given a lot of airtime. She hasn't had many matches, but she's been treated like an important player on the flagship show for months (to the chagrin of some). She's done a lot. It's not possible to say that AJ is bad, but it's equally difficult to say that she's really good, too. She's wrestled in very few matches of substance alongside talented workers and is incapable of doing line delivery, so sticks to what is a list of mannerisms. And this generates her massive praise...why? I think a lot of it is rooted in the widespread infatuation towards her. How is it not possible to say she's bad/good? As a wrestler it's hard to judge based on the past year, but as a character and performer it's easy...she's had lengthy segments on the mic basically every week. That's why she's been one of the most polarizing performers in recent history. You say she's "incapable of doing line delivery", I disagree completely, and it's an argument that was had every week some months last year. Many think she is awful, many think she is great. I found some of her segments to be the best acted in WWE history, and I'm not exaggerating. And my opinion has nothing to do with her looks. She's never been my cup of tea; she looked too young in FCW (even though she's older than I) and I find her "stick out the butt" pose hilarious. I just think she is a great performer.

Compared to the majority of fans, you sir are indeed the exception here. The thing about what AJ's done is that yes, her segments are lengthy, but her character is unorganized and one-dimensional. A lot of random or nonsensical storyline paths are handwaved by "she's crazy" without actually delving into what kind of crazy she is. Like Randy Orton as a violent guy with ASPD made sense. Sort of. It had some consistency until they got to his random waffle face/heel turns. But AJ like a butterfly in a garden floats between different guys randomly with no explanation. There's no rhyme or reason, there's no endgame. This isn't her fault by any means, the onus here is on the writers, but she has basically been doing the same basic thing for months, with very little standing out in the way of actual character development or progression, and has received quite powerful acclaim. And--this is at least in my case--if such acclaim were reduced or calmed down, it wouldn't be so bad. It happens in waves with almost every woman to go through into the company. Almost.

What are you talking about? Her character was pretty clearly explained as someone who needed a man to love her - something that she kept trying to find but was unable to do. Bryan used and abused her, Punk manipulated her and treated her like a joke, and Cena led her on and then disowned her. Now she's with Dolph who loves her back, and was the first guy to understand her (the locker room verbal assault proved this) and she's (relatively) happy - pretty simple.

I might not be too huge on her--I do like her a little though--but I do want her to win the title, simply because I feel it's been too long since I've seen a a couple who are both champions, and I actually think having Ziggler manage her and bragging about even his girlfriend having a belt would both be good additions to his gimmick. A valet who can tie into the gimmick and play off of him.
