I can't remember the last time a Diva managed to do so many things in the company and play into so many story lines. The only people I can think of that are close are Lita and Vickie Guerrero. Even the regular Divas tend to have lousy shelf lives so the fact that AJ has gotten so much time both on the screen and on the mic is really impressive and speaks to the possibility she'll be around for the long-term. She really made the most of NXT. (Kaitlyn is doing well, too, but I don't think her role even as Divas Champ even touches AJ's.)

Trish did pretty well for herself as well That's a really good choice, too. I actually forgot all about her time as a manager.

Everyone compares AJ to Lita but IMO her career is clearly following the Trish path.
Both had/have a trampy beginning to their careers and then has/will eventually be looked at as the best the divas division for years once they got their first title.
Except Trish was face and AJ looks like she will be getting her first title as a heel.

AJ has had the most baffling push in recent history. I've enjoyed it and I like AJ, but even I think it's baffling.

Seems like her role has been chopped in half since hooking up with Dolph.
Or maybe its just Rock/Punk/Rumble/now Lesnar taking center stage instead of the soap opera stuff since its that time a year.

And that's not really a bad thing. I'm an absolutely massive AJ fan and I think she's truly amazing, but people shouldn't be 100% in the spotlight all the time otherwise they get boring. Her stuff is still the highlight of WWE for me, and her new partnership with Dolph and E is full of so much win, but she doesn't need to be the center of attention all the time. As for the original topic, yes she certainly has made the most of it. Anyone objective can see that the WWE had no plans for her at the start of this push. She was paired with Daniel Bryan as a total joke ("hahah look at the nerds!") and managed to turn it into some complete gold through nothing more than her own boundless talent. And the best part is that it couldn't have happened to someone more deserving.

Yeah, she's been doing a damn good job. The best WWE diva since Trish Stratus, IMO.

Agree on all accounts. I also like that toned it down with the "RAW is AJ" stuff, and still treat her like a star while not making her the focal point of show. Team Ziggy is indeed awesome.

Yeah, she's been doing a damn good job. The best WWE diva since Trish Stratus, IMO. That's not fair because of how much she's gotten in return for doing so very little. Granted, I don't think pushing Trish the way they did was a bright idea either. People look back on her with rose-colored glasses but she very much hampered the women's division in her early years when she was garbage as a wrestler. I do think toning things down was a good call. Let her still do her thing without being given screentime at everyone's expense. She's alright in the role that she's in, I'm not exactly happy with it but it could be far worse. {Spoiler}As a sidenote, and to silence any "You just hate AJ" retorts that used to get thrown around a lot, there is literally no woman in the history of the company who I liked getting a big push without some wrestling being involved. I even thought Melina's angle with Mick Foley in 2006 was a horrible idea and made no sense, and didn't think giving her that kind of screentime with the role she played was a good idea either.

Making her the GM was a mistake from the outset IMO. It would have been much more interesting for her to go along with Daniel for at least a little while longer post-marriage (although I can understand how their hands were tied with Bryan trying to have her committed, she needed to get out there and then). I really wanted them to be together for more time, they had so much chemistry together.

AJ seriously has done next to nothing, heh.
I mean she's been featured. But she hasn't done much, honestly
I'm neutral on AJ, but seriously.

Back in 2010, I thought AJ & Kaitlyn would never get a chance once NXT3 ended. 3 years later and there's a slight chance they could be the first Divas to have a title match at Mania in 6 years. That's mostly because they've lost so many women since 2010, but still.

AJ seriously has done next to nothing, heh. I mean she's been featured. But she hasn't done much, honestly I'm neutral on AJ, but seriously. This is exactly the problem. It's kind of like when everyone got behind Zack Ryder, but what was he honestly doing besides saying "Woo woo woo" and spiking his hair? It caused this massive surge in popularity for a while but there was nothing substantive backing it up. It's not possible to say that AJ is bad, but it's equally difficult to say that she's really good, too. She's wrestled in very few matches of substance alongside talented workers and is incapable of doing line delivery, so sticks to what is a list of mannerisms. And this generates her massive praise...why? I think a lot of it is rooted in the widespread infatuation towards her.

Yep, that backstage mirror promo totally proved she can't deliver lines.

I'm just happy that she's not overshadowing the entire show, let alone the WWE/World title scene.

With the WWE creative team usually getting bored quickly,I do wonder how long they will keep AJ and Ziggler together. I mean I don't know how long you can keep 2 heels together as a couple without it being stale.
Thought the good news for AJ is that she should be in a pretty good spot if they do split. If Dolph cheats on AJ and says he does not need her, AJ can turn face right there and have an instant feud with that new diva and she can start her ascension for the face of the diva's division. If AJ decides to kick dolph to the curb and stick with Big E, you can keep Big E as her problem solver and they can be hilarious together in segments.
So while I don't think her current role is using her for her fullest potential, she is well set up for the future.
