Pretty sure the show was actually headlined by John Cena and Dolph Ziggler.

So... the big run of 2012 PPVs doing better numbers than the previous year lasted from Wrestlemania 28 through Hell in a Cell 2012.
Coincidentally, this is the exact length of Sheamus' World Heavyweight Championship reign.

9,000 lost is not bad. And was the cost of the PPV more in 2012 than 2011? If so then the WWE more than likely did not lose any money from the last year.

I'm sure people were queuing up to see it. It was the only reason I ordered the PPV.

I'm sure people were queuing up to see it. That match added to the 2011 TLC buyrate far more than people online who hate Hunter want to put over. Its a star driven business and names like Hunter and Nash in a Ladder match to get the Sledgehammer added a ton to that PPV.

Its a star driven business and names like Hunter and Nash in a Ladder match to get the Sledgehammer added a ton to that PPV. Throw in the curiosity factor in seeing how Kevin Nash could possibly pull off a ladder match without tearing another quad.

Little matter of the WWE belt not being upf or grabs played a nice part I'm sure.
