I thought that Hardcore Holly was part of the main event at WrestleMania XX.

I just have a question...if the rock loses his title at mania like expected when will he cash in his rematch clause? I mean it will be pretty stupid if the Rock loves the title as much as he says he does and then does not use his rematch clause. Unless I mistaken the rock won't be showing up much after mania so I guess that clause will be forgotten about. Rematch clause is true ... so if Punk wins at Elimination Chamber, Rock uses his rematch clause, turns into a triple threat. Cena pins Rock to win the title, Rock can take his leave, then Punk, having not been pinned to lose the title, can continue for a month or two to face Cena for the championship before moving on to something else for a while.

I thought that Hardcore Holly was part of the main event at WrestleMania XX. I heard after Triple H slammed the 700-pound giant Sparky Plugg in front of 80,000 screaming fans at MSG the ring caved slightly and because he was so sick and frail after the match he died only a few short years later..or something like that. ... Benoit.

I know, Shawn vs. Hunter at WrestleMania XX tore the house down.. If they had more faith in Benoit to headline WM in an one on one match they wouldn't have done the 3-Way with Shawn and Hunter, but when you have 3 workers at there level it works by default but those guys are the extreme exception to the rule as the only other match like it to Main Event WM got just 3 stars.

Please no. I want punk far away as possible from the title scene. Feed him to Ryback

I thought about it. A big part of me thinks that if we're gonna put those two rotten kids together in the Rock and John Cena I'd almost rather they be their own self contained, eye rolling thing, and Punk can have something that will have a more interesting build.
I think the Punk/Rock feud has been great, Punk/Cena too, but I've come to the conclusion that I don't think Punk can singlehandedly overcome the unrelenting shitstorm of poop jokes that are inevitable when those boys are allowed to play together.

The whole point of Rock/Cena 2 is that it's a rematch of the biggest match of all time. Adding someone else greatly dilutes the match from a marketing and drawing power outlook (not saying it wouldn't be a good match in-ring wise though).
There's a reason Triple H or Kurt Angle weren't added to the Wrestlemania X7 main event even though they had both been feuding with Austin and/or Rock right before the show. Rock-Austin 2 was where the real money was. Adding one of those other guys to Rock-Austin 2, while it would have made storyline sense (HHH beat Austin at No Way Out and Angle should have had a rematch clause after losing the belt to Rock on the same show), would have made the main event less of an attraction because they weren't on the level of Rock and Austin. And Angle and especially HHH were way bigger stars in 2001 than Punk is today.

This is the scenario I like, it logically sets up the triple threat, eliminates the "Rock's rematch" problem, and sets up Cena/Punk in which Cena can FINALLY go over Punk to end their feud. I can see how Rock losing the belt back to Punk in a month might not be good, in terms of making Rock fans tune out. Of course he's just going to lose it to Cena at Mania so that's not much better in that regard.

Cena/Edge/Show or Mysterio/Orton/Angle? The latter was incredibly rushed but would have been above 4* given more time.

I generally hate 3-ways, and I don't want one to be the main event at Wrestlemania. If Rock/Cena's been the plan all along, they should just go with it.

A 3 Way would help cover for Rock's stamina issues.

Nope it wasn't the ME either, Show and Mayweather was the 2nd ME behind Taker and Edge. Only 3 times has anything but a one on one single match went on last. The first was tag match at WM1, the 4 way at 16 which happen to have a McMahon in every corner and the 3 way at 20 that would have been one on one if Vince had full faith in Benoit to sell the show with having both Shawn and Hunter.

A 3 Way would help cover for Rock's stamina issues. It will be his 3rd long match in 3 months not counting any TV ring time he may get so it shouldn't be an issue by Mania.
