Reid "shut the door, I'm feezing" Flair on Nitro, the Dominic angle f.ex., do they get paid by the company for these small performances?

Doubtful. A young kid is just going to give the money to their parents to hold onto anyway

I feel like Rey said in his book that Dominick got money that they put into a bank account for him, but maybe I'm just imagining things.

I'm sure they would. If not directly to them, the wrestler (generally father) would get a bonus.

The kid in the basketball angle with DiBiase and Virgil got to keep the 500 dollars for taking part in the segment.

Sandman's kid got paid, I know Corino's kid in Japan did too.

I think they'd sort of have to, wouldn't they? I mean, not for when they bring kids into the ring to dance with Brodus, when they're used in actual angle, I'd imagine that they'd be required by law to pay them.

It wouldn't be required by law, it would be if say the kid worked at a regular company. Wrestlers are under individual contracts and not under the same legal ruling as say a human resource coordinator at WWE, and the kids could sign a contract where they wouldn't get paid but if something DID happen like injury they are covered. Something like that was probably done. A consent form signed by the parents.

I always figured they'd ask the wrestler/parent, then ask the kid "Wanna be on TV?"

Nope. nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.
If they appear on TV as part of the storyline, and not as volunteers from the audience (whose tickets include a release as a condition of admission), the kids are considered working, and would need to be paid at least at SAG-AFTRA scale. Also, if in California, WWE would have to put at least 15% of that money in trust for the child actor. Don't forget, WWE, Inc. also operates WWE Films which would be subject to SAG-AFTRA regulations if they want anything done better than at the "grindhouse" level.
