Whatever happened too... (moves)

Watching RAW, I got into a conversation about moves you just don't see anymore in the WWE.

NOT the "Safe Style" ones like various piledrivers and crazy flips. More along the lines of:

Face Rake
Back Rake
Chest Rake
Eyes rubbed on the ropes
..... I guess you could say 65% of Hogan's offense.

Does anyone on the roster do a belly to belly suplex? Last person I remember using it with any regularity was MVP.

I think Jericho did some during the Punk feud.

He rubbed his eyes on the ropes at one point, too.

Christian uses them regularly, but he's never on TV anymore.

There's definitely been cases of heels or even faces winning with thumbs-to-the-eye prior to a roll-up or finisher lately, but that's still probably not a proper eye poke.

Non-Shield Dean Ambrose is a big fan of the back/chest rake. Austin Aries in Impact Wrestling also uses the back/chest rake fairly regularly.

Drop toe holds used to be in damn near every match, then one day they just vanished. It was a move I took for granted as just a basic thing, and it took me a while to notice its absence.

Rock did one at the Rumble, plus its one of Sandow's signature moves.

I haven't seen any full-nelson based moves in a while.

Sandow, Cody and Kofi all use Russian leg sweeps. I'm sure Slater does as well doesn't he?

Which is amusing, because a few years ago, every motherf***er on the roster had a powerbomb, including several divas.

The powerbomb is my favourite move though so I mark for it regardless.
