I like Nostalgia Critic and Video Game Confessions (even if with the latter it's clear a lot of the time he doesn't do any research or anything first), but other than that... Ask That Guy can be good sometimes, but most of his other stuff just tends to flop. Though I didn't mind the Bart's Nightmare review that much; at the very least, I'd take it over his Garbage Pail Kids review any day. Hell, the only thing of his nearly that bad is the first episode of Demo Reel and that's mostly just because that's twice the length.

I like most of his stuff. Can't really get into his regular "Doug Walker" bideos. It gets kind of boring after a while.

I see the name Doug Walker and think he's Pinhead out of Hellraiser.

What gets on my nerves when he has videos that come off a misses is that when you watch the serious videos, you can tell he "gets it" when it comes to what makes a video good or bad. It almost seems hypocritical for him to call out a film's sins as Doug Walker then commits many of those in his character videos.
I wish once a week or every other week (maybe the NC off-weeks?) he'd give his professional opinion on a film he's seen recently or a film he holds in high regard/is held by others in high regard. In fear of sounding like a Daniel Bryan NXT promo, I would think with him trying to make revenue and keep viewership and maybe even do damage control from Demo Reel that doing that would be such a given. Plus it's not like he'd need to do a lot of work, if that's the concern. MAYBE watch the film if it's one he doesn't have a strong opinion of, grab clips or pictures to have something in the background, have a list of notes (not a script, just notes), and go. He even mentions in the list that he just "throws them together". It would take maybe a day tops to pull that off.

He seems really, really, really high on himself. I get that impression from near everyone on that site x

I think some of his jokes can be abit force fed sometimes and his abit like "You WILL find this funny!" or "I'm going to continue doing this until you find it funny!". But I do enjoy some of his reviews, I actually prefer it when his just plain Doug Walker

Like James Rolfe, I find him to be much better when his character is a little less character and a little more the real guy.

Just watched The Review Must Go On. I am glad he is aware of the criticism and how he has become.

Honestly, I find a good deal of his humor funny, but I find his voice so grating that I can't watch Nostalgia Critic videos.

I cooled on him quite a lot after a while, it just got grating. He does have insight but his humour is pretty forced. These days I look to Half In The Bag, which is more insightful and (usually) the jokes land better.
