It's quite uninteresting, yes. The first piano was built long after they didn't have any at all, and it consisted of one thick, white key. People stood and played it on there arm, and the composers hated it because they couldn't write anything with that single tone. It was monotonous to listen to, particularly during piano recitals.
It was not until someone invented the cracks, that changed everything, and then came civil rights, and that is what made it possible for us to produce some lovely music.
