Regarding these two crossover Simpsons episodes, which did you think was a better episode? I personally thought both episodes were good, but in my opinion, I will have to go with "The Springfield Files."
I will be honest, I never really got into "The X-Files" but that doesn't mean I can't now. I might check out a few seasons to see if I can get into them. However, this was a classic episode. It was freakin' hilarious and I loved Leonard Nimoy's role in the episode. Nimoy can be pretty funny sometimes and this episode, along with the monorail episode, shows that he can do comedy. Also, I thought that the scenes Mulder and Scully were funny like when Homer was on the treadmill or Mulder's monologue towards the end of that one scene before Moe and some other guys were carrying the whale.
As for "24 Minutes," well I know that Kiefer Sutherland and the woman who played Chloe on "24" were in some scenes but there was the whole real time thing on that episode. While it was a decent episode, it didn't live up to the "X-Files" crossover.

This alone makes me pick "The Springfield Files". "YO!"

One of my favorite bits from "The Springfield Files" is right before Homer encounters the so-called alien, when he runs into a sign that seems to say "Die", but actually says "Diet".

I love the randomness of Moe keeping Shamu locked in his bar. I think he runs an underground endangered species-trading ring.

I know I've seen 24 Minutes, but I honestly can't remember a single joke from it. That's the biggest problem with modern Simpsons, you'll watch an episode, maybe even get a chuckle or two out of it, but nothing sticks with you. An hour later you've completely forgotten about it.

Springfield Files is one of the greatest Simpsons episodes ever.
Never seen 24 Minutes, but I'm wary of considering anything past Season 11 (except the movie) to be great.

If someone votes for 24 Minutes, that will be one huge pile of argle-bargle.

24, because I was a huge fan of the show, & didn't really watch X-Files after the 2nd or 3rd season.
On a side note, at our wedding reception, my wife and I were introduced to the Simpsons theme. I produced the whole intro for the wedding party etc. After the Simpsons intro, we technically had our first dance to Adam Sandler signing from The Wedding Singer.

Simpsons-wise, nothing post-season 10 is ever gonna beat something pre-season 10 in a poll.
