Anyway, anyone watching the NFL Honors award show? It was amusing seeing Rodgers and Favre together.
Also, Sam Gordon is adorable.

If anything can sum up a man.
Rick Reilly predicted the Ravens would win in overtime 35-34.
Think about it.

Isn't that score like, physically impossible in OT?

Adrian Peterson won MVP and Offensive Player of the Year Bruce Arians won Coach of the Year JJ Watt won Defensive Player of the Year Robert Griffin III won Offensive Rookie of the Year Luke Kuechly won Defensive Rookie of the Year
Edit: Actually, found out that a 35-34 OT score is possible, but improbable. Game ends tied at 32, go to OT, Ravens get ball first, kick FG to go up 35-32, 49ers get ball, Ravens force a 49er turnover in the Ravens' end zone, they try to advance it out of the end zone, and gets tackled in the end zone for a 49er safety.

With the way I understand NFL OT rules, the game is over as soon as the turnover happens. So the game would end 35-32 as no safety would be rewarded.

This prediction is the most Rick Reilly thing ever. It's a stupid point that he's making that he knows will get people talking about nothing but Rick Reilly. It's no different than every column he's written since about 2006.

Go Niners!
And since it's in New Orleans, I'd just like to say "Black 59 Razor!"

Isn't that score like, physically impossible in OT? I dunno, is the one point safety in the NFL rulebook or just college? Imagine if it is and the Super Bowl ended on a one point safety, that would be hilarious.

Is it bad that I honestly don't care about tonight's game? I mean, I'll probably watch it, but I have no interest in it whatsoever.

With the way I understand NFL OT rules, the game is over as soon as the turnover happens. So the game would end 35-32 as no safety would be rewarded. I'd hope not. They should be playing until the ball carrier is tackled or goes out of bounds. Not like the recovering team cannot fumble it back in the same play. Now a team having the lead in OT, recovering a fumble or getting an INT in the end zone and trying to advance it out would be dumb and unlikely.

I guess I'll join the trend and make a prediction for tonight's game.
Personally, I'm astonished at how many people think this is going to be a close, tight game. I think if you go based purely on the players on the field, it's a runaway in favor of San Francisco. They have a better, more balanced offense and a suffocating defense that will test Joe Flacco like he hasn't been tested during this inexplicable postseason run he's on.
The only way Baltimore really hangs in this game is if San Francisco's secondary breaks down and they allow Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin to run wild on them. I think the 49ers are going to shut down Ray Rice and the Baltimore rushing attack and force Flacco to go out and win the Super Bowl.
I think Colin Kaepernick is going to run circles around the aging, old Ravens defense. It won't be nearly the performance he put up against Green Bay in the divisional round, but I could absolutely see him eclipsing 100 yards rushing and 200 yards passing. The Ravens' secondary is worn down, so I could also see Vernon Davis, Michael Crabtree and even Randy Moss having big games if Kaepernick decides to pass instead of run.
Honestly, the only thing that might keep it close is the Harbaugh brother relationship, with Jim deciding he doesn't want to hurt John's feelings on such a monumental, international stage. That being said...
PREDICTION
Baltimore Ravens - 19 San Francisco 49ers - 35

I'm rooting for the unlikely, I want Randy Moss to turn the clock back and have a ridiculous game.

So I've been re-watching some classic Super Bowl highlights recently, and I think I can safely say that the 49ers' drive at the end of Super Bowl XXII might be one of the most overrated Super Bowl moments ever.
Hear me out.
Yes, San Francisco starts on their own 8-yard line. But they have two timeouts, the two-minute warning, 3:10 on the clock and all they need is a field goal to tie the game. With essentially three timeouts to burn, they needed to drive about 50 yards to get into field goal range. Hell, they're on Cincinnati's 35-yard line with 1:30 left and still two timeouts.
In the past decade alone, we've seen better drives from the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVI, the Giants in Super Bowls XLII and XLVI and the Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII, but whenever the greatest drive in Super Bowl history is brought up, everybody automatically defaults to Joe Montana and Super Bowl XXII.

That's pretty amazing, seeing how XXII didn't even feature the 49ers. Perhaps you meant XXIII? And I think it's only big seeing how the Niners should've crushed the Bengals like they did to the other teams they faced in the playoffs, and Montana only had 1 TD before that drive.

I know it's the SB, but it's still just a football game and it's between a team I loathe and a team I don't care one way or another about. I really don't think I'm going to miss much. And even if I do NFL Network will replay it 5,000 times.

The most overrated one has to be Brady against the Panthers with was a minute left, all timeouts and John Kasay kicked it out of bounds to put him on the 40. In a game that defenses ceased to exist.
