Side note: Looking on FB/Twitter, I love how anyone that didn't like the show are "haters". I mean, it can't be that we weren't entertained by it. It HAS to be that we're jealous. Also: Anyone that uses the phrase "haters gonna hate" deserves to be tortured. Haters gonna hate

Pearl Jam for next year's Super Bowl Half Time Show. Or Foo Fighters. Or Prince again. ...in fact, lets make it Prince every year. Or Bruce Springsteen.

I'm a HUGE Beyonce fan and I thought it was absolutely amazing. I was so proud of her and loved every second of the performance. I enjoyed her show more than the game! And she was definitely not lip syncing!!

It was very inoccuous. A pretty run-of-the-mill pop/R&B performance. I didn't mind. Beyonce is nice to look at and her show wasn't a self-aggrandizing abortion like the Madonna one.

Hank jr for halftime, bring him back to the NFL fold! His ridiculous political opinions aside (all I'll say bout that), still a fan of his music.
Ok, I'd enjoy that and prolly no one else, but meh.

Also: Anyone that uses the phrase "haters gonna hate" deserves to be tortured. Preach! "Haters/haterade/butthurt/etc." are all great indicators of a low IQ. Back on topic, I thought it was laughably bad. If you're attracted to women, it provided a decent show for obvious reasons. Musically, I thought it was abysmal. It was obvious she didn't lip-synch because she barely sang anything. Beyonce's lyrics during the halftime show: "Uh huh! Yeah! Come on, y'all! Where my independent women!? Uh huh! Come on! Superdome!"

I think Halftime shows are more about visual spectacle than singing, and on that front she delivered.

FOO FIGHTERS for sb halftime show I second this, they would fit all the criteria and put on a great performance. I am not a Beyonce fan and missed alot of the half time show, but from what I saw she did what I expected, a solid performace. She was definitely one of the better acts of the newer generation. While I really enjoyed alot of the older bands, especially Prince, I think they need to have more modern bands. When was the last time they had a current rock band? Although you can argue they have peeked(atleast sales wise, I think musically they are still improving), atleast it was in the last decade. It's always classic rock or current R&B/hip hop. I guess it doesn't help that rock music isn't doing well on the charts these days. Nonetheless, the half time shows have improved greatly since MTV stopped producing them. Even though they probably have less general mass appeal without multiple "artists", they are much better organized and because of that the performers have been able to do a better job themselves.

I think Muse should do it next year. They always put on a good show and I can only imagine the spectacle they would put on at the Super Bowl.

Muse is probably the best live band of our generation, but they wouldn't do a Super Bowl halftime show unless they can do everything live. No lip syncing. No backing tracks. On the other hand, anyone who says she isn't talented or that she's a flash in the pan or whatever has no idea what they're talking about. They can dislike her all they want. I'm not exactly a fan of hers, either. But to say she isn't talented just shows how wrong their opinion is about music.

While we're on the topic of Superbowl Halftime Shows - while I don't expect her popularity to die down anytime soon, I'll be very surprised if the NFL doesn't get GaGa while she's red hot.
In terms of Pop spectacle, she's the best out there right now. I'm shocked that they haven't already gotten her to do it.

Eh, I don't really think so. Anytime she plays she sells out arenas, a seemingly rare feat with the way the music industry works today, and I'm sure that'll continue when she releases her new album this year. However, this is the same league that put KISS on the pregame show instead of the Halftime show at the height of their modern era fame, so it wouldn't surprise me if they never get GaGa.

I just hope we get back to Rock music eventually. Metallica, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, KISS (yes they did it before but who the hell remembers?)
Who's it going to be next year? One Direction? Beiber? Rihanna? Sure, the Beyoncé show was visually appealing, but her music (just like BEP and Madonna) aren't my cup of tea. Or hell, do some variety.
