Zack Ryder is a bit of an anomaly. It seems like they're never going to give him a real push, and he seems to be frustrated with his position in the company. However, WWE isn't going to just let him go because he moves merchandise. So he's basically going to be a cash cow jobber. Hopefully if he doesn't shoot himself in the foot, he might get a Mark Henry/R-Truth type of push in 5-10 years. I don't understand what Zack wants though. He had a hit Youtube show, a great feud with Ziggler leading up to and including his US Title win, and was the deciding factor (the losing factor, but deciding) in the Team Johnny vs. Team Long match at WrestleMania. I'm sure the last thing Zack or WWE wants is to over-expose his gimmick.

Rey Mysterio has bored me for years, but I always realised why he was on TV as the fans always go crazy for him. Seeing him at the Royal Rumble and how little reaction he got, made me think his time is up.

I'm sure the last thing Zack or WWE wants is to over-expose his gimmick. I think Ryder just wants to not be treated like a nobody. Even with his big push, he just went from being an irrelevant jobber, to a relevant jobber who appears on TV more often. During the feud with Ziggler, Ziggler barely acknowledged Ryder and was constantly swallowed up into high profile storylines like the whole HHH/Walkout ordeal and having random matches against Orton, Sheamus or Punk. Ziggler was treated as being multiple tiers above Ryder and only dropped the belt to a.) Transition the U.S. title into being the new European/TV Title and b.) Give Ziggler his obligatory short main event run before pulling his momentum out from him again. I'm sure that if WWE booked their lower midcard in general a little bit better, Ryder would not go to the ridiculous lengths that he has to get over and desperately cling to relevance. It would be a lot better to see Ryder having an actual feud with David Otunga than to have him get squashed by Barrett or Cesaro for the umpteenth time.

I don't know....they might fire Hawkins for how crappy Rock/Punk was. Nah, I don't think they'd want to piss off The Rock. It would've been nice if Hawkins & Ryder were added to the Rock & Cena feud. Like each of them gets to have a Major Brother to keep as a pet. Just for fun, they could reverse the real life alliances- Rock gets Ryder, Cena is stuck with Hawkins, who constantly sucks up to Cena- much to his annoyance. Meanwhile, Rock exerts his influence on Ryder, who reluctantly listens to him in order to get a push, even though he'd rather hang with John.
