Based on the responses to my previous thread about The Death of Superman vs. The Clone Saga, I was curios for feedback on this one. The Clone Saga was Marvel's attempting to mimmick The Death storyline, which had enjoyed great success. I can't help but feel that Oyr Worlds at War was very much DC attempting to mimmick the success of The Age of Apocalypse, and even more, The Onslaught Saga. Forgive me if I state that Imperiex struck me as being directly inspired by Onslaught. Superman having to work with both Lex Luthor and Darkseid struck me as being about the Marvel heroes having to work with Doctor Doom. And much like Onslaught, Our Worlds at War felt like a DC attempt to clean up a few loose ends in various titles, sort of like how Marvel used the Onslaught cycle to put an end to the Clone Saga. Thoughts?

All I can say is that Marvel Universe Onslaught 1 had some of the worst art I've ever seen in such a high-profile book.
And as for Superman having to work with Lex (though mostly other villains) and Darksied, thats more akin to what happened back in Crisis on Infinite Earths imo.

OWAW was a better story and didn't involve Marvel killing off the FF and Avengers for a reboot that nobody liked and Rob Liefeld couldn't be arsed to finish.
