Depp's real hit or miss for me, but he really made this film 100000% more enjoyable than it had any right to be.

yea, I generally dislike Depp but I rather enjoyed Rodriguez's trilogy and his character in this was pretty great. also, one thing that bothers me about this scene is that he's talking to someone on the phone and doesn't even say goodbye to them; he just hangs up. though, this is something I've noticed about tv shows/movies -- nobody ever says goodbye on the phone. the conversation just ends.

I've noticed that in films a lot too. "I'm busy - I don't have time to say 'bye' dammit!" But yeah - I often wonder what it would be like to do that to everyone I talk to.
