Anyone else interested in seeing it? I'm kind of crossing my fingers and hoping they didn't put all the funny parts in the trailer. I believe this is Melissa McCarthy's first big starring role and I think she's funny so I'm hoping it is at least decent.

I'm torn because I like the cast a lot and it's a pretty original premise, but I haven't particularly cared for the TV spots.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

I kinda do but will probably wait for DVD or PPV. The lady looks hilarious and I loved her appearance on The Daily Show promoting it.

Her character doesn't look AS bad in the commercials, but in the trailer she is so unlikeable(i know that's the point, but this is in a real bad way IMO)

Well I saw it and it isn't all that great. It's pretty much what I expected but I was hoping for a bit more. I should have a full review of it up by Sunday or Monday on my site.
Quite frankly I am actually looking more forward to the movie The Heat where Melissa McCarthy stars with Sandra Bullock. It is basically just doing the comedy cop buddy movie with women but it looks like it could be decent. I think it looks a bit funnier than Identity Thief.
Tomorrow I'm seeing Side Effects so I should also have a review of that up about the same day.

And does Jason Bateman once again play a miserable businessman who hates his life and desk job?

And does Jason Bateman once again play a miserable businessman who hates his life and desk job? What else would Jason Bateman play? Suave business man who loves his job? ;D Seeing as many movies as I am now I'm glad that I'm finally able to tell Jason Bateman and Paul Rudd apart. Has anyone else had this problem? lol
