I think my favorite would have to be Father Ted. If I had to compare them I would say I enjoy it even more than Monty Python's Flying Circus (though it is like comparing apples and oranges).
Other than those I love The Office (UK), Ricky Gervais' other series, Extras and just today started watching The Peep Show. I've only seen the first two episodes of that series so far, but am loving it.
I also have a feeling when I get around to watching the full shows rather than just clips that Spaced and Fawlty Towers will also be among my favorites.

"The Thick of It" is sublime. Ditto with "Trailer Park Boys" and "Peep Show."

Seconded. A few more: The IT Crowd Dan for Mayor (From Canada; first season only) Chromartie High School (It's an anime, but has a definite "sketch comedy" vibe) Nothing Trivial (From New Zealand)

Would Misfits be considered a comedy? I'd say that even if I haven't seen the most recent season.

Right now it's FRESH MEAT. VOD!!! And Sabine's whole interaction with the crew about drinking was hilariously spot-on. start at 4 min 35 seconds to about 5:20
