I don't hate either of those people but where would Miley Cyrus be on the hate-o-meter as well as Kanye West? He supposedly lost a lot of money and respect due to his relationship with Kim Kardashian. How about Nicki Minaj? She gets some hate. Miley Cyrus? She's done everything she can to stay out of the spotlight. I have nothing but respect for that.

She's got a new album to promote this year, it'd be pretty dumb of her to totally shun the press.

Chris Brown without a shadow of a doubt.

Justified - Chris Brown. Somewhat unjustified - Justin Bieber. Somewhat? Try "not at all". People's personal taste aside, the kid knows what he's doing. Clash, let it go, people disagree with you and dislike things you like.

Kim Kardashian seems to have picked up most of the haters (sorry, I really can't think of a better term at the moment) that Paris Hilton lost when she...pretty much fell off the face of the Earth. I mean, the story is pretty similar. Both made sex tapes and launched them into superstardom, and most people see that as undeserving of fame. She hasn't really done anything terrible, necessary, but famous for being famous just angers people. I still wouldn't call her the most hated Pop Culture figure, though. That's got to be Bieber. Justin Bieber: Making Rock and Metal fans insecure about their own musical interests since 2009. That last sentence makes no sense whatsoever. Why would Justin Bieber make me insecure about the music I love ? I don't know anything about him, have heard NONE of his music and he does not register on my social radar whatsoever.

Justin Bieber is a gimme, but besides that, I'd go with Snooki and the "Honey Boo Boo" clan, who seem to bear the brunt of the "what's wrong with modern civilization" title.

It's gotta be Chris Brown.
Bieber hate isn't as much as it was a year ago.

That doesn't really stretch to the US though does it? Didn't realise that was a requirement to the thread. Although one of his songs seems to be played at every US sporting event, so he is known there.

The song's well known but it's unlikely that most people in the audience at those events would know the artist.

Also Glitter is WAYYYYY overshadowed now by Jimmy Savvile At the moment, maybe but there will always be an asterisk by Savile's name which is that he was never convicted. History will show that although there were so many accusations made against him, the majority of them came out after he died, so therefore he cannot be tried for these alleged crimes. With Glitter, although the number of accusations is much smaller, he was actually convicted and served time. Maybe that will inspire even more ill feeling towards Savile, as people will legally always have to say "alleged Sex Offender".

I bet if more people knew who that singer was and what he got up to, it would be played a lot less.
