I somehow think that with 98% of moviegoers wanting to see it, it's going to still do just fine.

It should have been called Old Habits Die Hard in an ironic, self-parody way.

I hope this movie does good, so they can end the series on a good note with a part 6. They should get John McTiernan to direct it, and maybe have it take place entirely in NYC or LA again so it could come full circle. McTiernan is the one who knows Die Hard the best, so why not bring him back after he gets out of jail in a year instead of hiring a hack like John Moore.

It should have been called Old Habits Die Hard in an ironic, self-parody way. I read somewhere that Willis wants to do one more DH, so that would be a perfect title. And like the others, I still want to see this. I'm already done thinking that the series is going to top the original trilogy. We're at the "Fan Fiction" trilogy at this point. That's why I enjoyed LFoDH.

Even Live Free or Die Hard got 81% approval from Rotten Tomatoes. Maybe this one needs more Justin Long.

Eh - DH3 was the last good one. This is just "cashing in on the franchise" time now so the reviews don't even come close to mattering, just Box Office numbas.

The second and the third one are cashing it in on as well. Hell every Die Hard movie but this one were originally written to be differently movies before they decoded to turn it into a die hard movie instead

I still plan on seeing it, but do you think that there was a reason that it was released around this time?

McTiernan is the one who knows Die Hard the best, so why not bring him back after he gets out of jail in a year instead of hiring a hack like John Moore. "John, I'm glad to have you back and all, but why do you want it set in a real life prison?" "I...I...I had to make promises for protection." "Wait, that's not the same sound guy from this morning." "SHUT UP, YOU'LL GET US ALL KILLED!" Die Hard 6, the one where Behind the Scenes footage is the real movie.
