Cena/Rock rematch. Rock is scarcely around, the replayed promo alludes to Cena's divorce, his 'Bad Year' which beats most mid-carders' decade, weeks prior to Mania Cena is opening Raw w/ Prime Time Players in his seven thousandth cringe worthy situation so far.

Taker/Punk. Punk reportedly inactive till Mania, cutting silly urn promos while Undertaker remains speechless. Fans cheering Punk, still. Riding Paul Bearer's death to the desensitized point.

HHH/Brock. This is like the embodiment of why people hate HHH. Son in law and burials aside, just stay off the screen. Stay at your desk. The best thing you've done all year is piss yourself. Even if Brock wins, who cares? We see him three times till next Mania? And if HHH wins, sheesh. Get over yourself.

Sheamus/Orton/Big Show vs. Shield. Is this actually interesting at all? I do envy the current creative staff.

Ryback vs. Mark Henry. Yeah, wow. Ryback wins over the veteran, slams him, forgotten the next day when Ryback goes one on one with Seth Rollins again.

Del Rio vs. Swagger in a watered down racist angle. Swagger now being cheered over Del Rio. And I doubt it's because Pittsburgh is a certain way: Del Rio is just one of the most bland perpetually-pushed wrestlers I've ever seen. As a heel he didn't work, with his cars he didn't work, and only his manager having his ankle shattered makes this situation slightly interesting.

Something with the divas, ziggler, hell no/rhodes scholars/dancing dinosaurs. Something else. Add gimmick battle royal.

I got to thinking earlier, now that I've declined an offer from a a friend who's ordering Wrestlemania and having a party, does anyone here actually think this card looks good? I felt like I was into it no matter what earlier this year, because it's Wrestlemania, then once I stepped away from the event and really looked at the card I realized it is in the top three worst Wrestlemania cards I have ever seen. We still have a couple of weeks, but man. Is anyway here actually interested altogether, and why? And not to justify that you're watching it no matter what. I was there myself, but just threw in the towel. Why is this Wrestlemania actually worth watching, in your humble opinion?

I thought about this on the subway for an hour this evening, and just came to the conclusion it's a total, uncreative ripoff.

One thing that keeps me optimistic is that we've had great builds leading to dubious Manias, and crappy builds leading to decent Manias, so I won't completely write off this year's till the actual event.

The strange thing is that there is probably isn't really a bad match on the card. Rock/Cena and HHH/Lesnar have a decent chance to top their previous bouts. Taker/Punk could definitely top it just based on Punk's ascension to legit main event guy. Del Rio/Swagger can both go good in the ring. Ryback/Henry could be fun as hell just for the clash of two of the roster's big monsters. Orton, Sheamus, Rollins and Ambrose are among the best in-ring guys in the company, good enough to cover Big Show and, to an extent, Reigns. Same goes for Bryan, Kane and Ziggler for Langston.

It's just a shame that the stories seem so haphazard in comparison, because they all have potential to be good, if not great matches.

Yeah, it's okay to not like Rock vs. Cena or HHH vs. Lesnar and still watch the show. Even 27 was decent with pizza and stuff

It's got an A+ in star power, but an F in booking. Even the biggest mark in the world has to admit this has been the most predictable build-up for the big matches ever.

I'd definitely go to the party if I was in town that weekend. Should have made that more clear. Just saying, in hindsight, even where I'm going I won't be ordering/looking for a nearby restaurant/bar playing WM. Just kind of a bummer, but completely lost interest. Was curious to see who is actually really into the card, as I've found myself psychologically incapable of being that way. Seems more like a creative recycling bin than a showcase of things immortal.

I'd actually be a bit offended to be left off the card with the rumored filler going around (Fandango? Clay & Tensai?).
Like "time to move on" offended (I'm looking at you Kofi...you too Ryder).

Agree with everything you said. I would still go to the party. I'll watch it but am not certain if I will pay $65 to watch it on my big screen. Don't like how phoned in this feels and they don't deserve that much money just because it's Mania.

I can't see it being worth giving up a steady paycheck to take a gamble on being picked up by TNA or ROH and getting pushed there or being a prominent freelance indy guy (like, say, a Colt Cabana) over not being on the WrestleMania card one year.

I'd ike to think that these guys saved their money. Ryder still lives in an apartment with a roommate, but then again, he also spent a big chunk of cash on those ZRvsDZ stickers.

I think Kofi could be the prominent freelance indy guy, and even a possible NWA World Champion.

Since WWE owns the "Zack Ryder" name, he would have to start over from scratch, using his real name or a new name. But, I think his social media savvy would help him out a bit. I think if the guy was willing to start a new webshow under his real name or a new name, he could actually become a prominent YouTube partner, and thus draw interest from promoters by way of being a "celebrity" of sorts, like The Rock, but on a much smaller scale.

I know we will get decent matches, we usually do, but all the storylines leading up to WM are dull and boring, especially that convoluted shield storyline going on. Hell, the match I'm most interested in happened last year. There's just no......big match feel, and The Miz is so absent from the card! *throws a chair*

To some, "OK" just doesn't cut it for the biggest wrestling show of the year. That said, I think the card as it is looks all right, but I would have booked differently.
