It's one of the worst build ups I've ever seen for Mania, especially the absolutely lackluster build up for Rock/Cena. And it's extremely bizarre to not see the WWE Champion on TV on a regular basis.

What looks like the card: The Rock vs John Cena Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger Undertaker vs CM Punk Triple H vs Brock Lesnar Randy Orton, Sheamus, and Big Show vs The Shield Mark Henry vs Ryback Team Hell No vs Dolph Ziggler & Big E. Langston And most likely... Wade Barrett vs The Miz Chris Jericho vs Fandango Team Funk vs Rhodes Scholars & Bella Twins ...sounds like an okay card... That's what's bizarre. The card to me is fantastic. I like damn near every match on here. It's the build up to the card that's horrid.

The card should be very good, I am happy with all those matches.
The build to those matches, and the whole road to WrestleMania (which is normally great) has been lacklustre though.

Kind of convenient WWE's putting that particular card on at a time when I'm not watching, since the only one of those I'm even kinda-sorta interested in is del Rio / Swagger and that's mostly just because I'm completely baffled as to who the hell thought it was a good idea for a Mania title match. Means skipping Mania will be nice and easy to do.

I know we will get decent matches, we usually do, but all the storylines leading up to WM are dull and boring, especially that convoluted shield storyline going on. Hell, the match I'm most interested in happened last year. There's just no......big match feel, and The Miz is so absent from the card! *throws a chair* At least you and Miz will always have Atlanta.

Remember the first few weeks of "We the People", where we were all talking about how good the gimmick was, FOX News was pissed, and WWE was gaining mainstream popularity?

The show's fine and will do good money. No problem. That's what sad-if the product isn't great(which is opinion)the fans should show the E they don't think it's great, not just buy it because it's Wrestlemania

I'm curious about what the biggest drop off between WM buys vs the WM dvd release of the same show

Also Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker. Over time I think the shows after 28 and 29, 30 if they keep these three guys around for it, will seem underwhelming in comparison.

So I spent a lot of money on floor seats for myself and two others; I sat down last night and had a long think about whether or not I am satisfied with the card or not and whether I wasted thousands of dollars on a show everyone is shitting on.
And then I realized 3 things:
1. I am most excited to see Jericho vs. Fandango more than any other match on the card. 2. It's WrestleMania; the atmosphere is going to be amazing, so IDC if the card sucks or not. 3. I won't have to listen to commentary all night long, which is always a plus. Unless JR shows up :/

...and if he does, that's more incentive to buy the DVD. ;D

Remember the first few weeks of "We the People", where we were all talking about how good the gimmick was, FOX News was pissed, and WWE was gaining mainstream popularity? lol That's because they turned it into a generic "foreigners are what's wrong with this country!" storyline. They had an angle that mirrored real life, but it cut a little too close to home for some in the audience, so it had to be watered down to a much weaker version of JBL vs. Eddie Guerrero. Also, the green screen YouTube video and Jack Swagger's DUI arrest which will unquestionably lead to him losing at WrestleMania, didn't help the cause. I honestly think the World Heavyweight Championship match is the most predictable match on the card. You could talk me into CM Punk beating Undertaker. I'd put the odds at like 3 percent, but I could at least hear the argument. In no conceivable way do I envision Swagger beating Del Rio.

I'm sure its been answered but looking at the WM stats for each match and my memory is failing. When did Mark Henry win @ WM? Off the top my head I only remember him facing Taker.

Off the top of my head, his only win was last year as a member of Team Johnny. EDIT: After looking at Wikipedia, it was his only win. He also had an eight year gap between Mania appearances (from 14 to 22).

WM29 will be Henry's 4th appearance at WM, his 3rd match and only his second singles match. This is in a 17-year career in the WWE.

So has anybody mentioned yet how it looks like the NY/NJ area has apparently canceled Spring? I know WrestleMania's still two and a half weeks away, but it's been cold in the city lately, daytime temperature's usually in the mid-40's, sometimes lower, with the occasional snow flurries, and I'm not seeing it changing anytime soon. We're about 15 degrees cooler then average for most of March. My suggestion to all out of towners coming - bring a sweater.
