Sad news for me, indeed, as few games even come close to offering the amount of fun I had with Rock Band. April 2nd will mark the end of official weekly DLC for Rock Band. Beyond that, it's all up in the air whether or not they'll end DLC entirely, or if we'll see random DLC pop up. Rock Band Network (which I pretty much dislike as I hate Metal, and that's pretty much all it is) should be continuing, and the servers aren't being shut down, so you can still download songs they've offered in the past. Further, there is no word on any Rock Band products in the near future. No Rock Band 4, no Rock Band: band name here, no Rock Band: Genre Title Here. Sad, sad day for me. www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=233673&p=4983528&viewfull=1#post4983528

Huh, so I might actually be able to see new DLC on Xbox Live without scrolling through 500 Rock Band items?

Unlikely. That's Rock Band Network. That will probably still be supported, as that's done by record labels, bands themselves, or fans of the bands that chart the songs.
I, too, wonder why they load up the DLC section with stuff that can easily be hidden to Rock Band only. Especially when RBN stuff really doesn't sell all that well compared to the actual DLC.

That's a pretty good run though. There are so many songs available that you shouldn't have to worry about getting bored with them.

My problem is that, while I don't find trouble finding other players online (or, heck, my friends still want to come over and play), everyone online only seems to have Rock Band 3 core, so I get sick of playing Bohemian Rhapsody. If people DO have DLC, it's usually "Don't Stop Believing", which, yeah, you do the math...

..........I Need a Hug...... Tomorrow's release of Rock Band Blitz songs is the end of those songs, so from here on out, Harmonix promises that they will "certainly be worth it". Take that in mind.

Haven't bought Rock Band DLC in awhile, but this makes me really sad. Hopefully we see some sporadic, yet quality DLC releases in the future instead of outright discontinuation. This also dashes my hopes for a Rock Band 4. Still it was a really great run. The Rock Band series is one of my favorites ever, possibly my favorite of the generation, and I bought hundreds of dollars worth of DLC songs. All worth it IMO. Still lots of music to try out and explore, too. Obviously not going to buy it all, as it would be several thousand dollars' worth, not to mention I don't have the HDD space. But I'm sure there's some stuff that's fallen through the cracks I'll take a shot at. On that note I need to actually find a new guitar to buy. My old RB1 guitar controller is finally on its last legs.

Dance Central is Harmonix's cash cow right now. And to their credit, it is easily the best Kinect-only game.
I know that isn't saying much, but the series is pretty fun!

I haven't bought any DLC or even played in a while but it feels like the end of an era...

I wasn't aware and am surprised that they were still going. Must be a ton of stuff on there by now. The music game thing really came and went, it was fun while it was around but it's completely wore off on me now.
