Don't worry guys, I sent WWE an angry letter telling them not to listen to any other angry letters.
It's cool.

I find rapists to be reprehensible and when I watch a TV show its enjoyable watching them get arrested or killed or whatever. The story arch makes it look like the heel has the upper hand and eventually gets his comeuppance and we all go "yay"

Well, if this succeeds, they could just give him Matt Damon's gimmick from Team America: World Police. "jaeck, sthwaeger."

Shareholders > 1st Amendment? No way! Technically yes.The 1st amendment only concerns the government stopping you from/punishing you for saying things. Yeah, that's what I was thinking when Zeb and Jack said they were expressing their first amendment rights in the ring. However, that just adds to the characters not getting it and just being biased, like, so far, this angle is brilliant television. Last night was a bit tame, a bit small, and Del Rio is probably not the best guy to do this angle with, based on him being a rich mexican who never had a hard life and can't relate as much to those going through the hard times. Hunico would be a better character, just based on the storyline they gave him, but they could add him in there because one, he's really talented, two, it could help get him over, and three, it could get Del Rio sympathy for fighting for a fallen friend, along with Ricardo of course. But Hunico isn't in the main event picture, but if he's not injured anymore, I'd bring him back instantly to do something involved in this. Plus, from watching that one wwe.com video, how Hunico isn't a babyface is beyond me.

has it really reached that point where it could be classed as offensive towards anyone yet? There are some people who find it offensive but for reasons that can not be discussed on this board. The supposed "false flag" from December?

I find it hilarious the amount of people who don't get the angle and think WWE is being racist.
Is it lack of intelligence that they can't grasp it?
Is it trying too hard to be PC and not offend?
I'd like to think this thread is a joke, but after all I've seen written about this in the past few days it could very well be genuine.

Because I, and several other shareholders, are putting a stop to this racist and offensive angle cold in its tracks.

Why are people so god damn sensitive? Swagger and Zeb are HEELS. They're saying racist and offensive stuff because they're being presented as BAD GUYS. It's not John Cena coming out there saying this stuff while the announcers cheer him on. The entire point of a villain in wrestling is to be a bastard people hate, and thus pay to see get beat by the hero.
People today never would have let the WrestleMania VII angle happen. All the whiny PC pansies would have gotten the Sgt. Slaughter heel turn axed in two weeks.

Yes, whatever you do, heels.... don't create heat!
Heels should only be like, "I want your title, and I'm going to do so in an unsportsmanlike way because that's what I do. Also, people in this town are generally unattractive and their local sports team is poor at their job!"
Seriously, if this was Jack Swagger and Dutch Mantell going on Twitter or their own personal blogs spouting their rhetoric. If they were beliefs they, themselves, held.... then I could see trying to get them to shy away from doing so on a public forum. But as long as they are portraying characters, and gaining heat.... just try not to be so easily offended.
Sorry, it's just a pet peeve of mine for someone to be offended by a scripted show and say, "I can't handle it, so get rid of it!" You have the power to change the channel, do so. If it offends you that much, stop watching WWE until the gimmick changes... it will run its course, and it will change eventually.

So does being a stockholder mean that you have input on storylines? Because if that's the case, I think I'll use my tax return to buy a few shares and lobby for giving Alex Riley more TV time. Anyway, good luck with that OP... has it really reached that point where it could be classed as offensive towards anyone yet? There are some people who find it offensive but for reasons that can not be discussed on this board. Even so, its a bit like South Park parodying any particular belief system: sooner or later, everyone is going to be made fun of or used for heat.

I kind of blame WWE. They make heels too flashy and entertaning these days. Now a real oldschool bad guy is here and people can't handle it.
