the long awaited Canadian version of Big Brother starts next week. Let's make some predictions on how they'll make it Canadian themed.
a game where contestants must swim through maple syrup.
the "slop" will be plain Timbits
house guests will be Vooted Oot via slap shot
The golden puck of veto

One refridgerator will be for beer only.
Everyone will be required to wear a hockey jersey at least once, probably during a contest.

There better be a token Newfoundlander. I looked at the cast. There's a few people that just says East Coast www.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/02/20/big-brother-canada-cast-first-season-contestants_n_2725530.htmlAll get togethers and meetings will happen in the kitchen. there will be a Kraft Dinner with ketchup bob for luxury prizes of A trip to Niagara Falls, season tickets to the Maple Leafs/Montreal Canadians, a shopping spree at Canadian Tire, a trip down the Red Carpet at the Much Music Awards and a private Nickelback concert.

Impressive they nearly got every provincial/city stereotype out of this. Only thing missing is the token chain smoking friendly party hard Newfie welder who makes 16 bucks a hour in Newfoundland if he can get work who moves to Edmonton/Fort McMurray and makes 40 bucks a hour and gives everyone on his crew a Newfie accent and talks about his mainland all the time. They are also missing out on the DA ALBERTA REDNECK!!!! Also they missed out on the Saskatchewan Farm boy/girl who loves Pilsner and the Roughriders. But I guess they would be boring on TV since almost every person from Sask is chill as f*** minus when the Roughriders are in town.

I predict that the commercials hyping it will be rather obnoxious and inevitably make me want to punch someone in the throat.
...oh, look, I got that right! >_>

The lack on Sask/Alberta sterotypes is probably due to the fact that half the country doesn't acknowledge out existence. I'm serious, watch the national news and they never bring up anything going on west of Winnipeg.

Well they seem to bring up Edmonton's crime stats all the time or if our cops doing something corrupt or unjust. But yeah they don't talk about Alberta unless if our oil sands are a future election issue or if a pipeline is crossing to the US (see the keystone pipeline). But it's kind of sad they never talk about Alberta unless if it's something negative or a future election hot button. They are quickly to bring up Edmonton's latest homicide or how petty crimes are on the rise in the city but they never talk about the positives like how Edmonton was ranked #3 in this years of cities with the highest Quality of Life in the world or how the city of Edmonton created more jobs than the entire USA did in one year.

GENERIC,OBNOXIOUS,PEOPLE BEING SLEAZY AND GATHERING THE MOST WANNABE TV STARS. Sorry,i really hate big brother...doesn't help that the whole Brazil has a cult on it.

Cheers for the Canadians. Good for you. As a BB fan, I wish I could watch this somehow They got this crazy new entertainment device that allows you to watch anything you want, any time you want. It should be coming out sometime in the next month or two. I believe they're calling it the internet. I know a whack of people that Auditioned in Halifax and Toronto. But nobody I know got on. I want it to catch on because I love BB and not having to wait a whole year between seasons will be awesome. And I don't find the commercials annoying at all. The "We'll be watching you" commercial with all the stereotypes cracked me up. Especially the Tim Horton's girl.

Did anyone watch last night? What are your feelings so far? I watched. I've been a fan of the US version for quite a while now, so I was really really looking forward to last nights show. To be honest, I'm on the fence.... just need the characters to grab me in still! I did like Suzette, the current HOH. Plan on watching the first live eviction tonight.
