I may have the timing off.
But wasn't the reason it conclude so quickly was because the first 'Iron Man' movie was about to be released and Marvel wanted Tony Stark to stop being an asshole in the comics.

I'm amazed that there are people that don't understand why Cap didn't start punching Paramedics and Firemen.

Best moment of the Civil War? When I punched Iron Man in the dick in the aftermath: {Spoiler} ![](http://i.imgur.com/0QIuM.jpg) (Yep, it happened, and it was awesome) Worst moment of the Civil War: Everything else. (Honorable mention to the creation of BuckyCap, sorry Mr. Emoticon Man, you know ilu.) The dick punch was nice, but not quite as nice as Thor just DEMOLISHING Stark in one of the first JMS issues. "Hey, know how I only use like a fraction of my power here on Earth? Well, maybe don't clone me next time KRAKAKOOOOOM!!!!!"

I think it's equally sad & amusing that Civil War so thoroughly ruined Iron Man that Fraction had to reboot Tony's brain in order to save the character.

But, there was that one mom that kept yelling at Iron Man. She made it ok to clone a Norse God into a death machine. Oh dear Christ I forgot about Mirium sharpe......ugh I would have loved it if she was a skrull in secret invasion She wasn't!?
