Jeffery Deaver Jackie Collins John Grisham Bentley Little
I don't need to know anything about the books, I buy them with no hesitation.
Dean Koontz, James Patterson and Clive Cussler used to be on the list but not anymore, with them I stick to the library, if I even bother.

The only person I would say fits this for me is J.K. Rowling. I used to be the same way about Stephen King, but not anymore.

For me, it'd be Neil Gaiman, Paul Cornell, Nagaru Tanigawa, Paul Magrs.

J.K Rowling when she was finishing up the Harry Potter series. I used to wake up early to dash down to WH Smiths to buy a copy first day they were out. Now, the only one is Jeff Lindsay. I do eagerly await the release of the next Dexter book Edit: Not an author exactly, but I have been eagerly awaiting the release of Zero Six Brave which is out... now

Stephen King. I realize he's "fast food" of the literary world, but I've always loved his books.

I used to be the same way about Stephen King, but not anymore. Same here. I was a massive King fan for years, tracking down every scrap I could find by or about him, every uncollected short story from every magazine, every editorial essay he had published, even re-bought the GI Joe Crystal Ball figure because he wrote the bio, that's how insane my collecting of his stuff got. Around the time of Gerald's Game and Dolores Claiborne, I finally got fed up with him enough that I stopped actually reading some of his stuff, but kept buying them. Around the time of From a Buick 8, I gave up almost completely.
