Okay....
- Dark Knight Rises and Watchmen weren't that bad. - Iron Man 1 was the only really good movie of the series. - Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, likewise, the only really good one of that series, before it became popular. - Tobey Maguire was not the perfect Spider-Man, largely due to his lack of joking (one thing Andrew Garfield gets right)
Can I add some TV ones? - Tara King wasn't that bad. Nor was The New Avengers, actually. - The '80s Spider-Man cartoons were the best. Though I am seeing what people see in Spectacular, thanks to Vortexx reruns. - I actually liked the California episodes of Laverne & Shirley. Now, when it became Laverne, Where's Shirley... - Family Guy can still put out a good episode or so. How can you hate something that has ANNE MURRAY as a guest star? - Steve Harvey on Family Feud is overrated, he is riding the "wave" of TV-14 questions, which Richard Dawson and Ray Combs didn't need to be funny.

I remember reading somewhere that Tim Curry was cnsidered for the Joker before Nicholson.......Tim Curry playing that role would have been nightmare fuel. I heard he was considered to voice the TAS Joker before Mark Hamill.

- Temple of Doom is my favourite Indiana Jones movie.
- I love Ace Ventura 2.
- Howl's Moving Castle bores me.

- Hercules is one of my fav Disney movies.
- Not a big fan of Star Wars.
- I thought Shrek was crap. I liked the others, though.
- Rocky 5 and Karate Kid III are guilty pleasures of mine.

I liked the others, though. - Rocky 5 and Karate Kid III are guilty pleasures of mine. - Agree with the first, I'd add bit about how Tim Burton has been reduced to reimagining everything in his own image, and uses the same clique, but that's a popular opinion. - Kind of a aversion from my "first movie was the only good one examples"...Shrek 2 is the best movie of the series. But that could be cause I really like Jennifer Saunders, and liked Puss in Boots' debut. - Superman IV and Supergirl = guilty pleasures. - Body Slam was a fun movie.

I despise Batman Begins, it's worse even than Batman Forever and Batman and Robin
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is the best of the Indiana Jones movies and it's awesome
The Mask of Zorro is the best "super hero" origin movie
The Twilight Movies are all no where near as bad as people claim
The Tom Jane Punisher movie was by far the best of the three Punisher flicks
The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra is the greatest comedy movie ever made
"Nuking the fridge" is NOT the reason why Kingdom of the Crystal Skull sucks, and was actually a really fun scene
Return of the Jedi is easily the second best Star Wars movie and is supremely satisfying
The three fairies from Disney's Sleeping Beauty are the best fairy tale heroes in any Disney movie.
Rocky IV is my favorite Rocky movie

The Dark Knight Rises would have been a God Damn masterpiece if it was cut by about 30 minutes.
Johnny Depp sucks. I will never for the life of me figure out why he's considered such a great actor. I've enjoyed some of his movies, but he seems to have absolutely no range whatsoever. He's the "weird guy"....the fact that (maybe this is just me)he comes across as such a pretentious douchebag in real life doesn't really help.
There will never be a worse movie than Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
I refuse to acknowledge the existence of anything Star Wars related post-1996. The REAL Original Trilogy are my three favorite movies of all time, but The Prequels and the Ruined Originals mean absolutely nothing to me.
I couldn't care any less about Disney owning Star Wars. All I want is the Real Original Trilogy to get a Proper DVD/Blu-ray release. (NOT two decade old Laserdisc masters half ass slapped onto a DVD like we were given a few years ago. That was an insult.)
Which brings me to my next point: I surprisingly DIDN'T hate Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
I don't find Zack Galafinakis or Melissa McCarthy funny at all.
Requiem for a Dream is one of the best movies I have ever seen.....but I have no desire to ever see it again.
Remakes don't destroy the original, or anything asinine like that. They DO show how damn lazy Hollywood is, though. Can you believe these writers had the nerve to go on strike a few years ago?
The entire MPAA rating system is an outdated relic that should be done away with. What's the point when nearly everything is released "UNRATED!" on DVD/Blu?
Tim Burton hasn't made a good movie since Big Fish. He has been coasting on his name for nearly a decade.
I really miss small single (or double) screen movie theaters. I don't like multiplexes.
I really hate the industry's shift toward digital. I get it, but man, having worked in a projection booth, there's something awesome about actual film.
Enough with the superheroes!!! There have been some damn good superhero flicks, but enough already! Just because I like chocolate cake doesn't mean I want to eat it all the time! Same idea here.
I liked Avatar, but sometimes I wish it had bombed just so that EVERY. SINGLE. MOVIE. wouldn't be in 3D now. 3D is a great idea every once ina while, but Hollywood doesn't know the meaning of the words "every once in a while". I hope reports of 3D sales rapidly declining are true.

DKR and Watchmen are pretty broadly liked, even if they tend to draw vocal criticisms from the minority when they are criticized. Iron Man 2 was a big disappointment and while Iron Man 3 got some initial praise, it sort of tapered off.

Yes, a thousand times to Temple of Doom and Return of the Jedi not being bad. Especially ROTJ which was a satisfying end to SW (for now...). And Ewoks >>>>>>>> Gungans. Admit it, most of you didn't hate the Ewoks until the Interweb told you to! And the Jub Jub song >>>>>>> the Revisionist History Edition version of the ending. bob...agree about all your Star Wars points, man. I hope Disney being in charge changes the stance on not releasing the original OT. (and the Holiday Special just to pee on Lucas some more) If this happens, I think the deal was TOTALLY worth it. Plus they didn't "kill" Marvel yet, so I still have faith that Ep. VII+ COULD be good. I do however disagree about Melissa McCarthy. I love her to pieces. Even wrote a letter about her to EW, which she signed for me. She seems like a nice, down to earth lady, which makes things better. I'm just glad that someone who isn't a "model" is finally getting pushed in today's entertainment. (this is why I long liked UK comedies, not everyone has to be a size zero or under 30)

- Rocky IV is the worst film in the Rocky series and really just comes off as a massive ego trip for Stallone. - I really don't get why so many are calling Red State Kevin Smith's best movie, Michael Parks's performance is good but other than that its a totally forgettable film. - 95% of Troma's back catalogue of movies are just plain rubbish and that if it wasn't for them would of never seen the light of day.

(Heat along with Conjuring are actually the two movies I saw this year that I liked...the superhero genre had nothing spectacular...) The beautiful thing about her is she can play straight or weird equally well, so she has something for everyone.

here's one about horror movies; there's a glut of absolutely terrible, unfunny schlock out there that thinks that simply acknowledging that it's cheaply made, badly written schlock is enough to get away with being cheaply made, badly written schlock. Troma peddles schlock, yeah, but Lloyd Kaufmann never winked at us on the camera about it. plus his movies at least are actually funny. it was entertaining schlock. keep your bargain-basement barely-above-student-film crap away from me. who the hell keeps green-lighting this shit's release? it's shit like this that makes people not take horror seriously as a genre anymore.

Also, they didn't "kick the empire's asses" as so many complain about...they were getting the crap beaten out of them until Chewie hijacked that AT-ST. It's about at that point that Chewie, Han, and the Ewoks start hording the troopers into some of the better/more lethal traps and stuff.
