Better superhero butler? I'd have to say Alfred. Not only does he have a great snarky sense of humor in all the incarnations, he's also been shown to be a true friend to bruce wayne and extremely kind and sympathetic (one of the few nice moments from all star batman and robin was when he brought robin food while he was locked in the batcave). Jarvis, aside from a few decent moments (such as his solo story in the Inferno crossover), hasnt done much really.

Yeah, gotta give it to Alfred. I'm pretty sure in at least one incarnation he was former British SAS and I don't know if Jarvis even has any military experience at all.

Jarvis all the way.
Alfred is great, but he only has Batman and the current Robin and occasional guests to tend to.
Jarvis has to serve the entire roster of the Avengers, including Hulk at one point. Imagine the mess he made at dinners.
Yes, I'm awre that the Hulk was quite smart at that point in time, but he was a mean brute.

Jarvis has a military background. I'm almost positive it was the RAF. That said, my vote's for Alfred. Much more interesting dynamic between him and the Bat Family than what Jarvis has with the Avengers. |

Jarvis easily. Whether it's offering support and advice to Captain America, rebuffing Tigra's advances, bickering with Marilla, or beating Thor, Scarlet Witch, and Silverclaw at video games, he's always a delight.
